If you have a team for Demolition how can you leave out Afridi? Sehwag Sanath Gayle Symonds Yuvraj Afridi McCullum Flintoff Albie Morkel Johnson Lee
Cos the only thing he demolishes are his teams chances

I dont care ... the thread wasnt about consistency ... it was about demolition. No one can do that better than Afridi. Btw can we count Gilchrist too?

It was a tossup between him and McCullum for me. I picked McCullum, just because I'm a biased anti East Zone ite.
Regionalist !! :whack: Seriously though, Dhoni has played some 120 ODIs and in that short time, he has already tonked close to a hundred sixes. I think he is almost neck and neck with Yuvraj Singh in the sixes count, even though Yuvraj has played a hundred more games.

Yup. I do find McCullum a little more entertaining though as a batsman - probably because of his devil-may-care attitude half the time, whereas Dhoni actually approaches his batting selfishly to achieve milestones while sitting out important tests with a lot more responsibility and sense. Mind you, if I could find it in my heart to drop one of my top 6, I'd pick both with one being a specialist bat.

Here are some interesting facts... Player ranking by the most # of sixes in ODIs. The 'sixes' column is hidden on the right below. Perhaps something more interesting would be the ratio of sixes/innings or sixes/runs_scored. But I'm too lazy to do it. Initially in his career, I think Dhoni had a +1 ratio of sixes to matches played. Over the years, he has mellowed down a little IMO.
