What I have been saying is that he was looking for a century, where others have been claiming that he wasnt and that if he really wanted, he could not have taken singles. SRT from 07-09 Gambhir averages 39 in these two golden years of his. GG from 07-09 Quite convniently you changed the topic from "playing for records" to "strong lobby" (:WTF:) to "we are sacrificing GG because of SRT"

If team victory wasn't important to him, he wouldn't risk a career by playing with a most painful back against Pakistan in Chennai in 1999, or he wouldn't risk some more "easy runs" by playing through a groin injury against the top team in the world in 2 finals, and score 50+ scores to help the team win.
