fineleg
may replace Sidebottom if he cannot recover. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/cricket/england/7744439.stm Bresnan seems to have impressed folks so far. Link to comment
Cricketics
they should forget all those names and should call Hoggard instead. i bet he can get atleast sehwag or Gambhir early. he has a decent record in India too and is aware of the conditions Link to comment
Mr. Wicket
rofl... Bresnan is a completely crap medium pace trundler. Mahmood has potential but no consistency - but can produce the odd good ball. Plunkett's batting is more threatening than his bowling. Link to comment

msb1991
England are absolute mugs for not going with Kabir Ali who struck every 30 balls in FC cricket last year. Link to comment
fineleg
England are absolute mugs for not going with Kabir Ali who struck every 30 balls in FC cricket last year. if he is that good, i wonder why Eng aren't even discussing him? Strange indeed. Link to comment
msb1991
Indeed. The Wisden Cricketer did a fascinating piece on the inexplicable ignoring of Kabir Ali. One can only assume that they have not watched him bowl since his last international stint, where he was about 80mph (130kph). These days, he bowls into the late 80s (140kph) and therefore is a much more potent wicketaker - wicket taking being Kabir's 'thing' so to speak. Link to comment
