DomainK Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 also that interview could have been a message to their bosses or something ... I dont think India TV told the security agencies b4 doing the interview ... All channels were just fighting for Ratings ...each and every one That channel should be banned permanently and the authorities that allowed the interview should be prosecuted under anti-terror laws. This freedom of media is being stretched too far now.
Ram Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Interview of terrorist? What did the 'terrorist' say in this interview anyway?
Desi Cartman Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Interview of terrorist? What did the 'terrorist' say in this interview anyway? Release all Mujahiddins from Jail .. each and everyone ...
Ram Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Release all Mujahiddins from Jail .. each and everyone ... And it was actually broadcast on T.V? Whats the proof that the guy who called was the terrorist and not some set-up by the channel to get some cheap publicity?

SachDan Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 NDTV reporters were the best. All seasoned pros and did their job commendably well.Never tried to sensationalize things and updated quite regularly.Sreenivasan Jain was the best among all the reporters covering this unfortunate incident. As some posters mentioned 'Times Now' had great footage but their reporting was way below par.

Sreenivasan Jain was reporting on and on and on.....untiringly. May be just took a bath and changed a shirt sometime.
Gambit Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Did anyone see 'We the people' on NDTV? Right at the end Simi Garewal said - "When one looks at the slums from the Taj, what flags does one see? Not Congress, not MNS, not BJP but Pakistani flags." After that, all hell broke loose.
Dhondy Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Did anyone see 'We the people' on NDTV? Right at the end Simi Garewal said - "When one looks at the slums from the Taj, what flags does one see? Not Congress, not MNS, not BJP but Pakistani flags." After that, all hell broke loose. Interesting. Agey batao kya hua?
Gambit Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Interesting. Agey batao kya hua? One kid stood up and shouted at Simi - "Muslims are not the enemy, she's the enemy." The mics were shut off and he abused her when that happened. There was condemnation of Simi's comment but she said - "But there are Pak flags there". Barkha had to shout to calm people and then quickly cut to 1 min silence for the slain heroes and then the show ended.
Dhondy Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Very interesting. Was Simi speaking the truth? There must have been sympathizers. This is too massive to have been pulled off without help from Indians.

I think she probably confused the flags Muslims put up before/during Eid(Eid on 9th dec here), you know the ones with red and green backgrounds with moon crescent, with Pak flags. And if there really are Pak flags, then it isn't something that's unheard of, in Mumbai.

Right at the end Simi Garewal said - "When one looks at the slums from the Taj, what flags does one see? Not Congress, not MNS, not BJP but Pakistani flags." After that, all hell broke loose. Well, thats true. I see Pakistani flags everyday in Malad and on the way to the Andheri station.
Peace1000 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I think she probably confused the flags Muslims put up before/during Eid(Eid on 9th dec here)' date=' you know the ones with red and green backgrounds with moon crescent, with Pak flags. Please stop looking at Muslims with suspicious eyes all the time.
graphic23 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Those flags have been there even before the partition of India and Pakistan. Please stop looking at Muslims with suspicious eyes all the time. Its not muslims. Our most respected president was a muslim. Its Pakistanis that deserve the suspicious eyes.
PaiN_KiLLeR Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Rerun of the NDTV program being shown right now.
gs Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Those flags have been there even before the partition of India and Pakistan. Please stop looking at Muslims with suspicious eyes all the time. Situation has changed since then, no? 3.5 wars, 15+ years of proxy war, plane hijackings, parliament attack - sound like change in situation to you?
vinayak1986 Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 NDTV has extreemly talented guys, but the problem is that they are too obsessed in pointing anti BJP things-which should be uncalled for from a national channel..while talking about the politicisation, all the reporters were talking only about the modi incident. yesterday when kerala CM was snubbed by sandeep unnikrishnan's father, they didn't even mention it. . and burkha while reporting from nariman house said this at one point of time: "the people are houting 'BHARAT MATA KI JAII' and some, UNFORTUNATELY, shouting 'pakistan murdabad' "" .. OH MY GOD!! as if pakistan is such a peace loving, tolerant country! and many times i felt, barkha was over emoting, sort of acting! times now had unbiased, straight from the heart reporting, especially arnab. he is the 1st one in our media to talk about that self obsessed, arrogant bi*** named arundathy roy. feels pretty strange actually, she isn't worried about the human rights of the terror victims or brave police men, but only that of the suspected terrorists
PaiN_KiLLeR Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 One of the NDTV reporters referred to the terrorists as 'alleged terrorists'.
vinayak1986 Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 oh, i missed it, just when the news of terror strikes was coming in, i saw an article in ibnlive.com saying there is a thread on one of the terrorists' hands, so 'hindu militant' group role is suspected.. later when the true religious affiliiation of the guys was revealed, there was only terrorists, with no prefix! i mean, how prejudiced can u get??
