With India making a come back into the game' date=' a result is on here, unless the weather plays spoil sport !!![/quote'] But I thought that was the whole point man. With a competitive pitch even with loss of play due to weather (up to 1 day) a result is still very much in the cards.

What a stupid pitch. England go ahead with a monumentous tour and all the BCCI/Curator can do is prepare a dull, lifeless pitch and harass the local crowds so that less show up.
to be fair, the test was not even planned at chennai till 2 weeks back. only because the england team wanted a test to be in south india after the terror attack, the test was urgently rescheduled. added to that the almost intermittent rains and the monsoon season in chennai. what ever they could manage, they have presented under the circumstances.it is very difficult to produce a bouncy pitch in 2 weeks time with incessant rains.

The lessons should have been learned. As it is, at least we might get spin on the 4th/5th day so hopefully our spinners will be awake by then.

Had you been in Chennai just 2 weeks ago, you'd be amazed that there is even a test match happening there right now. We received unprecedented rainfall and the whole city was under water for 3 days. Given those circumstances, its a remarkable that the curator has even managed to prepare test match wicket. Besides, this test isnt meant to have taken place here. The Curator was probably informed 8-10 days ago that the first test is being played here. Given that, and the rains, I wouldnt be too harsh on the curator.
