I think Bhajji escaped in ODIs against KP and Flintoff - they are now tearing him apart, and this boot kicking he is receiving he'll not forget. He's such an ordinary bowler, so ordinary and thats an understatement.

Because IMO Dravid is a great player, who reached phenomenal heights over a period of time with great consistency in ALL conditions and against all opposition. Green tracks in England, up-and-down pitches in WI, all sorts of pitches in Australia and India, etc. For a while Dravid hit levels that had him ranked among the greatest players ever to wear an India cap. Such performances over time earn him a much longer rope than Harbhajan, who after one phenomenal series v. Australia in 01 hasn't shown the same consistency, leadership as a strike bowler in the team, or adaptability to different conditions and opponents in tests. He still remains a performer on dry turning wickets in the subcontinent but is unimpressive in so many other situations - remember his no-shows v. Australia so often with the ball when we toured last season? - and struggles on wickets that aren't turning from the start. His average away is close to 40, and is unimpressive against Pakistan, NZ and England. Dravid doesn't have such holes in his resume, and thus I'll cut him a lot more slack than Harbhajan, knowing very well that if Dravid returns to form, there's a lot more to expect - whereas Harbhajan, barring one exceptional series, hasn't offered much more in the last few years [turners aside] than the stuff he's sending down now.

Harbhajan is bowling poorly, no argument there, but the idea that it is as simple as him tossing it up one day and not the other is highly oversimplified. When Harbhajan's rhythm is good, the ball comes out of his hand slower and he gets more drop and turn. When his rhythm is poor, the ball comes out flatter. In the latter circumstance, it is not as simple as telling him to bowl slower as he will not get the dip and will be punished - you may have seen him attempting to forcefully float a few today and get smashed for his efforts. It is a worrying trend that his rhythm often deserts him but to suggest that it is merely a temperamental issue is just wrong.
