For eg. when I mentioned to some of my dad's colleagues that Jet Airways was the best damn airways as far as my experience and Continental and BA dont quite measure up, they incredulously point out: "But BA and Continental are international :((" :finger: Also, desis are MESMERIZED by "fairness policy". In South Indian movies, at least in Telugu movies, I do not see any Telugu heroines. All imported from up north for a "fairer representation". And do we even need to start about the usual North-South, Aryan-Dravidian racism? Jet is international too now, btw. Haha...so Bollywood gets gori extras from abroad, and South Indian film industry gets 'fair' heroines from North...hahaaaahahaa..interesting. I think we should all get them from Pakistan, our super white Caucasian but desi neighbours.

And yes the aryan-dravidian is nonsense.. the word dravidian first came into currency through Shakanracharya Mandan Mishra debate where Shankarahcarya identifies himself as someone from tra-vid land ( meaning from southern peninsula souroounded by water from three sides) And then we have genetic marker showing migration of people and it shows we all are same no freaking body came from anywhere.. I think all the arbarians coming from west have muddied the orginial race th south still remains pure..

I dont mean to be an "ageist", but I think it is more prevalent among ppl in their 40s and above than the 20s gen. I could be mistaken, but I've rarely seen any SKC or very little among my peers.

With top bollywood stars endorsing it, it makes the situation that much more worse! A company with this kinda product name would have been sued in the West, but thankfully we dont have any racism baggage from the past to deal with.

It is when they start believing that somehow they are better... I think there are two kinds of Indian racism. One is based on skin colour. The second is the bias shown to foreigners when a choice has to be made between Indian and Foreign. Somehow Foreign goods are better (grass is greener on other side?) And although, it is mostly white countries that get that privelege, sometimes even Pappugedara gets ahead of Badrinath cus he is phoren. BTW, for 98% of ppl, FOREIGN = WHITE. Even among educated folks.
