Dinx - the Jinx Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 ^ and what about Haddin disturbing the bails and claiming a bowled for Clarke? These cheaters will never change
Anakin Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 ^ and what about Haddin disturbing the bails and claiming a bowled for Clarke? These cheaters will never change Did that really happen? Can't they have one player who's not a cheat?
DomainK Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 ^ and what about Haddin disturbing the bails and claiming a bowled for Clarke? These cheaters will never change I saw a glimpse of that, couldnt catch the highlights......can you elanorate please?
cochise Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Haddin appeals for bowled having his gloves in front of the stumps - Video added And in the same match, Broom got Bucknor-Haddined: http://content-aus.cricinfo.com/ausvnz2008/content/current/story/388616.html In the 36th over Neil Broom was "bowled" on 29 by Clarke after sharing a positive stand of 42 with Taylor. Not only did Brad Haddin's gloves come in front of the stumps, but he knocked off the bails and the ball did not seem to hit the wickets. The charm is spreading.
The Outsider Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 It's in the video section in the cricketcrowd.com thread : http://www.cricketcrowd.com/Play_Video-23-1700-1412.html
DomainK Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 I saw a glimpse of that' date=' couldnt catch the highlights......can you elanorate please?[/quote'] Oh, you have posted the video? I didnt realize as I was surfing from a phone and the vid was not showing.
f.b.m Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 But...... but......... ...... Its all a part of the drama, the theatre of the sport. Its a human game with human players, human emotions, human umpires making their human decisions.. Oh yea, and human cheats.
Lord Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 he clearly was cheating.wen he knocked the bails,he had an expression that he knew he did it,but then started celbrating
suraj Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 he clearly was cheating.wen he knocked the bails' date='he had an expression that he knew he did it,but then started celbrating[/quote'] so how come Rashid Latif was banned for claiming a false catch and haven't heard anything about Haddin being punished yet. I know the match just got over but they better punish the cheat to discourage such further acts
Bumblebee Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 well just saw the video! well typical aussie i hafta say!
Bumblebee Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 so how come Rashid Latif was banned for claiming a false catch and haven't heard anything about Haddin being punished yet. I know the match just got over but they better punish the cheat to discourage such further acts i second that! if latif could be banned, why not haddin but i bet nothing would be done!
Rajan Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Haddin should be banned for 5 matches. Blatant cheating. he also has to publicly apologise. but expecting an australian cricketer who cheats and gets away with it to apologise would be a bit too much, going by Michael clarke's 100% cheating against the same opponents in 2007 when he picked a one bounce catch in a one dayer.the match referee will not do anything. this is another case of australians getting through with murder but later some stupid ICC Official will say indian/asian players have more violations and disciplinary issues.
kablooee87 Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Props to Ian Chappel. While Mark Nicholas and Ian Healy were were "debating" whether or not the ball hit the stumps Chappel said right off the bat, "it's doesn't matter, the gloves are in front of the stump, it's not out."
cowboysfan Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 ^^it should have been a no-ball but almost impossible to enforce really.
Kohum Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 It should have been spotted by the square leg ump. One more cheat, in the team full of cheaters.
Sachinism Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 WOw what cheaters You can't blame bucknor, but I wouldn't put it past him
Anakin Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Now Haddin is on the fast track to becoming the next captain after Clark
graphic23 Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Unfortunate incident. The worst part was it seemed as if Haddin had realized that he had committed an error but didn't stop himself from celebrating.
Predator_05 Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Surely he must have KNOWN that his hands were in front of the stumps ? That's wicket-keeping 101 - one of the first things you are taught to do when you start 'keeping. It's hard to imagine a 'keeper making such a basic mistake.
h4te Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 wtf? are you kidding me? i just watched the video...there were barely two sentences about this on cricinfo.
