But extremists think that they have right to change things as far as our culture is concerned. They should have offered them some nice flowers and requested them not to promote Pub culture. But abusing women (even if they are on Kothas) is absolutely unmanly thing. They can justify right cause in wrong way. Simple as that. If they pursue what they want to convey in a polite manner then who knows it may work quite better. And like few members here, even I oppose the pub culture that young boys and girls are following in india. But thats just me. Do not care if it goes on. Eventually it is going to catch up with rest. Theek hai, but where do you draw the line, dial saab ? The old g@andoo in the video was arguing that women can be taken advantage of in pubs. That can be true, but the influences behind that kind of behaviour isn't found in pubs. Watch some old hindi films where men are seen drugging females and harassing them. Shall we ban Bollywood too ? Not that i would have a problem with that, because i think Bollywood films are turd but this sounds ludicrous. It can be found in homes too. I am sure wife-beating isn't unheard of in Indian homes. And how would you tell a guy like me to stop visiting bars ? Seriously, if some guy walked up to me, looked me in the eye, and told me very politely; "Beta, please don't go to bars. I know you are going there to play grab-ass with girls. Here, have a flower instead."...i would probably laugh in his face and go anyway. Bottom line - you need to trust people to do the right thing. Most people will.

Heck the moment you hear the word bhaang you get a mental image of a rickshawalla! On the other hand drinking Heinken is becoming a Status symbol. I am increasingly meeting Indian girls who drink and honestly I am not sure if I like it/dislike it or am plain indifferent. xxx I would if I could :((

Most people will. Predo.... I cant argue on what you are saying... I know this will continue and will catch up with rest of the population. Eventually, we will have preety much everyone (90%) going to pub for fun.. That doesn;t mean that I am saying that when Pubs weren;t existed, people weren't drinking. But not at the age of 15-18. I just meant any other decent way of curbiing the trend. thats it. I dont want to stop anyone from going to pub.....nor. I am taking sides with those beating their wives or bolllywood perverts either... So by no means i support what those Ram Sena and other stupid people are doing.. cheers.

I think that is basic thing wrong about our culture. We should start treating women as human beings and don't hold them in such a high esteem.
