The Outsider Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Probably the only player in the 8000+ run club without a signature innings - yes he has scored runs, by the bucketful but he is yet notch up an innings like Gavaskar's 221 at the Oval, Tendulkar's 136 at Chennai, or Waugh's 200 at Kingston. Maybe tomorrow is the time and the moment for Kallis to deliver his signature on test batsmanship and make a name for himself beyond the regular accolades given to him about him being a great batsman and allrounder?

Mr. Wicket Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 No, but the Evil Mod Consortium bet heavily on Australia winning. I'll start up a thread on Duminy's record against Australia when under pressure soon.
sm332 Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 the Springboks cant spring another one out of nowhere can they? I think most of this will depend on Johnson getting breakthrough

Don Sharma Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Pray tell me ' date=' how can a drafter have a signature thread ! Can you name a signature Collingwood innings ?[/quote'] Why not, Colly's epic double against Aussies in the second test in last Ashes.
Gambit Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Pray tell me ' date=' [b']how can a drafter have a signature thread ! Can you name a signature Collingwood innings ? So I guess there won't be any 'signature' knock thread on RSD. :winky:
kumble_rocks Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 So I guess there won't be any 'signature' knock thread on RSD. :winky: RSD was always the bridesmaid albeit technically correct one ! :winky: Goes to show that a grafter can never have a signature innings , sadly larry gomes of the great 80's windies team comes to my mind's eye ... always over shadowed by greenidge or richards of the world!
punjabi_khota Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 RSD was always the bridesmaid albeit technically correct one ! :winky: Goes to show that a grafter can never have a signature innings ' date=' sadly larry gomes of the great 80's windies team comes to my mind's eye ... always over shadowed by greenidge or richards of the world![/quote'] 233 at Adelaide is more bride-r than anything.
