These people are brainwashed to believe that they would get tickets to "jannat" by "martyrdom" in "jihad". So by killing him we would only help him achieve his goal and make him a hero to the next generation of terrorists. I'M NOT A TERRORIST SYMPATHIZER. Kasab has to be punished. Justice has to be done to his victims. But that could be done by sentencing him to rigorous imprisonment for the rest of his life. He should be made to remember and repent his sins every moment. That'd be immense mental torture, worse than physical pain. He would wish to die, or get reformed as a human being. In most countries, this is the extreme punishment since death penalty has been abolished there, and it works.

But it's because he's under trial & can nail the real culprits behind 26/11 & therefore there is a high threat perception to his life. But once the trial is over & the culprits are brought to justice, Kasab will no longer remain valuable & will no more face any threat. So if money is what matters, even if he's sentenced to life imprisonment it won't cost us much.

Terrorism has other roots which have to be cured to cure terrorism. Otherwise, we'll kill one Kasab & many more Kasabs will come.

No Is he an Indian citizen ? No Is he a representative of Muslims ? No Does he have a big influence on Muslims ? No it would be not be a big triumph of good over bad. There's nothing to triumph over in that small peabrain of kasab.
