hassan_113 Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 I'd probably say so. Defending champions with an excellent leader, strong and varied bowling attack, a long batting line-up, plenty of power players and a better fielding unit than in the past. Expect Australia, SA, NZ and maybe England (home) and Pakistan (runners-up last time) to be their main rivals in this tournament. Last time out in SA, I remember India destroying SA on a green juicy track in Durban- really enjoyed that as SA expected India to capitulate and were hammered :-)
Sachinism Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 IMO I think its pretty difficult to have favourites in T20, there could easily be upsets, as its just 20 overs of hitting, someone could get lucky and knock over a bit team
hassan_113 Posted April 5, 2009 Author Posted April 5, 2009 but i think that quality shines through everytime

h4te Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 there is no way we'll win it this time. idk what you guys are smoking....
flamy Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 I'm not gonna lose sleep over T20s It's a very forgiving format.
cowboysfan Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 It's a very forgiving format. :giggle::hysterical:

swami1984 Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Pakistan has some good T20 players and has the best T20 bowling attack (Afretard, Gul, Tanvir)...and if they can somehow get Razzaq and figure out their opening combo, they're really set
Guest gaurav_indian Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 If lalu prasad yadav is their captain. Think logically.Pakistan is capable of winning T20 world cup just like india.They are not playing many matches but that doesnt mean they cant win the World Cup.

fineleg Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 No favs really for T20 World cup. 20 overs, one good show will clinch the match in circus cricket :elefant:
Guest gaurav_indian Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 New Zealand will win it .. Yeah they also have a good chance if Bond comes back.B->
amits Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 since 2008, we have sucked at 20/20 with only 25% success rate. odi & test cricket is real cricket 20/20 sucks & should be banned
spectre Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 I think Indian has a better team than they had last time around and after IPL, they got much better Sehwag Gambhir Uthappa Raina Yuvraj Dhoni Y Pathan Bhajji Zak RPS Some good newcomer performing well in IPL (Atul Sharma perhaps )
Shane Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 When it comes to T20, throw the form book outta the window, its on that given day, tbh i wont be suprized even if Team like England win it
Don Sharma Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 England will never win anythin big in men's cricket atleast for the next ten years, KP wil take care of tht. There are no favs in T20 WC but England wil not win.
