What's the formula? :(( Interesting question...assuming a flat metric to time we might have something like this...if we consider age in discrete steps i.e. 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 etc (i.e. he has live one year as a one year old, one year as a two year old, one year as a three year old etc etc m = (0 + 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 ...+ n)/n where n is his age and m is the average By this formula f.b.m's actual age is: nm = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 ...+ n where m = 10 Thus f.b.m is 19 by this measure However, if we make it continous, then we have a continous integration problem...to frame it, say he has lived dt as a one year old then dt as a (1 + dt) year old then dt as a (1 + 2dt) year old etc then we have (integral 0 to n t dt)/n = m = 10 n^2/2n = 10 n = f.b.m's age is = 20 If the metric of time is not flat then we have another problem: (integral 0 to n (t * f(t)) dt)/n = m = 10 where f(t) is the time dependent function that represents the intrinsic metric of time at every point in space-time of f.b.m's life. So f.b.m has to give us this metric f(t)....we need more information on where he has been and when in order to know his actual age. In other words, we need his whole history in order to know how old he is really. So what Maths tell us is what we already knew...we need to know the person to know the age...counting time doesn't really matter. :regular_smile:
