Lurker Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Thanks to congress;'s molly coddling with communsit and then easing pressure on maist naxalites.. and beetle believs there is no bomb blast anywhere Ye aise hi bakwaas karta rahega. Put him on ignore list. Seriously, what this Maoists deal..as if we didnt have enough on our plate Two reasons (broadly): a) Unequal distribution of weath. b) Lack of land reforms. a) comes into the picture due to this ever increasing gulf between rich and poor in India. Naxalism itself is no new phenomenon, afterall it started in 70s or thereabouts in Bengal, but it has picked momentum thanks to extreme poverty in villages and farmers doing suicides etc. With the increased cost of living overall those who can not afford it are really having a tough time and it is always easy to destroy than create. b) Lack of land reforms has meant there are still landlords with vast traces of land who use local population to till. Naxals exploit this and beleive in squatters right. In order words if you work on a land you own it. Obviously if someone would get land for free by squatting why would they pay? The flip side is zamindaars exploitation has obviously helped the Naxals create their support base.
ViruRulez Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 All political parties are doing wrong and movements like the salwa judum movement are leading to more naxalite .. the govt should stop the salwa judum movement because it will not help in the long run.. the worst part about this movement is that groups of poor people are given arms to fight the naxalite and this is creating more problem .. naxalite attack villages and salwa judum members attack naxalite camps and this goes on .. the govt should instead use army and flush all the naxalites out and maybe give some jobs etc. to them Just for those who does not know about Salwa Judum http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salwa_Judum
