Rajan Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 All of us wish our favourite IPL team to win. but most important, we would have certainly analysed the strengths and some weaknesses of our teams. a few would have even gone to the extent of factoring the pitch conditions in SA, advantages/disadvantages of their key players, the availability of foreign players( am not mentioning overseas because all of them are overseas now:haha:) and all. can you justify why you consider your team is most likely to win IPL 2? plz avoid jokes... For a start, as a CSK supporter,i think Hayden's availability right through the tournament is an important factor for CSK.He wud help the likes of Raina with his experience and imposing presence at the crease. They have a thinking captain in Dhoni who may take up wicket keeping responsibilities from Parthiv as long as he is fit.Oram can add value in a few games after Flintoff leaves.the domestic players would make an impact because Badri may have his final opportunity to impress the national selectors.M.Vijay can play responsibly as well as score quickly, he is good in adapting to the conditions. the bowling is slightly weak but with Flintoff around for almost 7 games in the first phase, it helps.Ntini's mastery of local conditions would help Albie Morkel as well. i feel there is a big role for Murali despite the supposedly seamer friendly conditions there. so, I am sure of a semi final berth for CSK....... I also support RBC, MI and DC( despite cricketics, I feel DD will pip DC for a semi final spot)
