DomainK Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 The eleven-year-old girl, who was on life support in a city hospital in Delhi after being allegedly tortured by her school teacher, has succumbed to her injuries. The teacher and the principal of the school have been suspended. The girl was punished by a teacher at a government school in Bawana on Wednesday. The child's parents allege she slipped into coma after her teacher banged her head and made her stand out in the sun for two hours. The child was admitted with a severe seizure. Doctors had conveyed to the girl's father that chances of survival are remote. The class-two student was apparently brutally punished for not doing her homework. The family has lodged a complaint but there has been no progress in the case. Police say they are waiting for full medical reports of the child before filing an FIR. kumble_rocks Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 This is sickening ! Teachers should be banned from hitting students like in western countries....
Ram Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I still cannot forget that sumputuous slap I received from my Class teacher when I was class 3 or 4.. It still rings in my ears... :((
punjabi_khota Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I got my ass beat up almost every day in middle school. But this **** is sad.
dial_100 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Same here... I was beaten up most in the class though in the studies I was never in the bottom. It is sad. I think teachers need to understand each students mental capacity and be realistic when punishing them. Poor thing. RIP.
ViruRulez Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I respect teachers but this time this teacher should at least get life imprisonment The teacher has fleed away according to reports for fear of public anger

Dude I was always in top 3-4 (some no life girls were rank 1-3, but I had cricket to worry about also), it is just that I didn't give a **** about "keep the finger on your lips and be silent" ****. So I was brutally beaten by my arts dude, PT dude, Music Dude, and normal subject ladies...man, those were the days. I had everything ...slaps,caning, hair pulled, even punches on my back ....there was another guy who was art teacher's fav. punching bag...he would get kicked on his ass also.
Macj Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 This is disgraceful. I hope this teacher is lynched. Like the rest here, ive been thrashed many many times , I have no complaints, sometimes I deserved it sometimes not, in anycase it taught me the balance of justice in life, you win some you lose some. But this is tragic and shameful, much like that inferno in TN which burned 80 odd schoolchildren.
mhr123 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Sooo saad yaar.. mrng in the TOI website saw this news , RIP dear....:((
cybervickey Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 i got slapped just coz i volunteered to ans a math question that the teacher asked teh whole class.. i got it wrong... i also beat up by teachers for no apparent reasons too just coz teh teacher wanted to make example out of a student so that other students wont talk in class :(. if them mofos even try to touch me now ill rip their arm off and stick it where the sun dont shine
flamy Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I like the American system better. There is atleast some mutual respect. Teachers channel their power perversions in India on students.
