Deterioration of ICF

Recommended Posts

My observations were mostly from the IPL forums. While I understand IPL induces very little "serious debate" I still find it ridiculous that the same people keep fighting over petty things such as "dhoni is selfish" and "dhoni is not selfish" etc. which is very irritating. And then there are people who fight over petty things which cloud some threads with myriad of posts that go unnoticed.
So, why don't you bring up those serious topics to the top by posting in them?

Just opened a thread to discuss selection for tomorrow's test match at Lord's. Zap, BB, are you going to get involved and discuss anything?
No,because i am not following that series. IPL takes up all my time. Will probably check the scores every day but thats about all the involvement i have with that series. Like i said before, i have learned to live with all the extra laugh at choozas threads and all the smileys. I have no problem.

well, IPL is not only thamasha cricket but also a domestic tournament (ie, regional fighting :P). Most of the 'fighting' is for giglges.........while some posters sadly have nothing better to do in life than to whine about Northie-Southie prejudice on an online forum.

- One off-topic thing. Don't be dissing h4te. He's cool with the EMC. And he's more entertaining than most of this board.
My contribution to what Mr. Wicket has already stressed' date=' [i']No one disses h4te.

Hi friends, I am an avid Indian cricket fan like most of you guys and grateful that we have a discussion that fosters our knowledge and community. After a hard days work, it feels great to come and discuss about cricket for a few minutes and relax. However, over the past several weeks I am noticing increasing negativity, stupid comments and feel I'm actually losing brain cells by coming here due to some posters such as "amits" and others. I guess amits etc. (you know who you are) feels it's a joke and can say whatever crap he wants to make himself feel better, but in the process he and others like him are making me (and I'm sure many others like me) to participate less and less and visit less and less. For the betterment of this community I'd like to request to moderators around here to be a little stricter when it comes to posts which are "purposely" negative and stupid. Please don't take this in a bad way but I miss the days when people like Gambit posted some excellent analysis and statistics, and now we see people having thousands of posts in a few weeks that are pure garbage and don't even belong in the "jokes" section. If I'm out of line, I'm sorry but this is a sincere request. -BB
i dont make any negative & stupid posts. show even 1 post where i have been negative. and i never make stupid posts. its others who make those feel stupid. some of the better members like rohan495, gambit, etc take my posts seriously & i know more about indian domestic cricket than over 99% of the members here its time u were banned from icf and @salil, i was never there on rivals. i joined icf in july 2003 on sportnetwork. in 2001 i didnt even use to have a internet connection even

Good post BlueBlood. This is something that afflicts ICF everytime the IPL comes around. I have now come to believe that the IPL is quite catharitic for all Indian fans. IPL cleanses the Indian Fan's bruised, battered and cholestrol heavy body thanks to the see-sawing nature of Indian Cricket. It actually allows them to enjoy cricket without getting too tense or frustrated. And that's reflected in the intellectually stunting posts that each of us contribute between April-May in the IPL forum. Once the IPL gets over, we will be back to analysing, dissecting, discussing and breathing Indian Cricket. I did write something similar to the OP last year here - http://www.indiancricketfans.com/showthread.php?t=110906

ICF mirrors India... people from various background post here... there is no way ICF can satisfy everyone's viewpoint and liking.. you gotta ignore threads which you dont like... MODs know what threads need to be cleaned up and who needs to be banned.. they are doing good job.. Yes, quantity of quality threads are declining but that is because of too much cricket that is going on.. there is another tournament or series starting before even writing about previous one..

The Cricket Talk forum is dead right now because there is no cricket, only "circus" :cantstop: But, we have excellent discussion when there is a series on. Right now, it's all about the IPL and what can we discuss there but the cheerleaders? brb, enhancing and contributing to the advancement of ICF forums through thoughtful and meaningful posts...
you are the most useless poster making meaningless posts here flamy should be banned :protest::protest::protest: BTW why will members remain in the forum if there is no fun at all.. that is a normal behavior in any popular forum
