vvvslaxman
Seems like it is going to continue to haunt us. For heavensake.. 39 required in 4 overs India conceded 41 runs in 2.4 overs. Bravo treated our bowlers with utter disdain. Munna Bhaii looks better than these guys in bowling yorkers. Link to comment
Sachinism
Yeh our death bowling is pathetic, most teams can bowl dot balls, India can't Link to comment
cowboysfan
we have always been poor-nothing new.the worrying fact is that if we dont learn to get better our T20 record is not going to be very good.we have to rely on our batsmen to out up 180 every time. Link to comment
King
Yup it's been a problem all right but if not winning India could have at least stretched the game to the last over. These NRRs will make a huge difference in the end. Link to comment
vipin
There are two types of death bowling. 1)A 150k delivery bowled straight at the head. 2) A 150k delivery bowled straight at the toes. India doesnt have either. But probably we should try yusuf pathan to bowl at the death. He does bowl good darters. Link to comment

With 7 wickets in hand req run rate of even 10 in the last 4 overs is a walk in the park, batsman are not going to wait till 19th over to launch the onslaught, you do not have a Malinga in your team. WI are making up for their failure last time and are now a favorite to win the cup after SA. Link to comment

Who said pace bowlers don't go for runs. Brett Lee, Taylor, Edwards, Malinga all have gone for runs. You need little bit of intelligent bowling with precise field set. Link to comment

In this tourney the faster the balls comes the faster it goes, Lee's econ was like over 14. Nevertheless, Malinga and Edwards seemed the most intelligent fast bowler so far. That was the point with 7 wickets in hand bowlers are going to get hit, that's normal. If you had watched the PAK vs SRL match you would see that if it wasn't for Malinga PAK had a win. bharat297
This is why I said we need a specialist yorker bowler. The % of yorkers that actually go for runs is far less than any other delivery. For the people that say there is too much of a risk of it going into a full toss, well thats why we need to practice it regularly. If we practice it regularly, then it is less likely that it is going to slip into a full toss. T20 is a format where 1 bad ball invariably gets punished. If we have a specialist yorker bowler, then that means at least 24 out of 120 balls (20%) are yorkers. If the field is set accordingly (Fine Leg, 3rd Man, Deep Backward Square, Long on, Long off), then it becomes next to impossible to score off. Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Can we get Rajat Bhatia :winky: . He had his yorkers going at will. Link to comment
