Karan114 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 "We are sorry for what happened but we can say we gave our best," Dhoni told a news conference. "I think we have the guys who can handle the pressure, it was a day when nothing really worked for us." Point to prove "We can definitely prove a point over there (West Indies). We were never really up to the mark but in nine months time there will be another World Cup and that is the only good thing we can say now. Wonder what the apology speech will be this time...
Nova Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Wonder what the apology speech will be this time... What a way to bump this one. This time the apology will be that he thought IPL was the the world cup..so he won it.:cantstop: It's not over yet though :winky:
achilles Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 WI- 73-0... Hope we lose. And hope the dumb, taken-for-a-ride and unaccounted to fans that we are, get some much deserved answers about the selections from the "Don't ask us questions about the selection" guys :headshake:
graphic23 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Wonder what the apology speech will be this time... You're expecting an apology speech from him? Are you feeding him? Paying him? What are you exactly doing in return to "expect" something from him? Please do tell. I understand different people have varying opinions but this is just pathetic - one match lost, and the hell breaks loose. In a format that doesn't depend on having any sort of actual skill to succeed, we're losing - and in two formats that do, we're #1 and #2 respectively! And yet, we're asking a player to "apologize."
zen Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Looking at the team selection and tactics in general, I wouldn't mind if Dhoni and Gary resign .... But they can always counter that they are only as good as the team and if the guys mess up what can they do :P

Damn right.
graphic23 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Yeah. Lets hope they both resign. Make Yuvraj the captain, Rohit Sharma the vice captain. They'll lead us to glory.
zen Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Would love to see a poll on Dhoni and Gary's resignation But I guess, in the end we will be stuck with a barrage of opinions telling how Indians want their captain and coach to resign after a tourney exit forgetting that Ind is #1 in tests. Ignoring the point that this is in reference to the tactics and strategies used in general :P
King Tendulkar Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Dohis selection has been shocking. The continued selection of Jadeja and Pathan is mind boggling
Ramzz Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Dohis selection has been shocking. The continued selection of Jadeja and Pathan is mind boggling This is what baffles me...more so the selection of YKP.

Let's see if Kirsten uses the "players were tired" excuse this time.
King Tendulkar Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Also why does raina bat 3??? Has dhoni put his strategy in stone? Has dhoni lost the touch?
Guest Hiten. Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Him and the dumbasses who agreed to field first have to lashed because they knew we would be bombarded with short pitch stuff with a rrr of somewhere between 7-9 rpo. It's also surprising that in the last 10 months none of these guys have practiced or tried to improve their game against short pitched stuff. They are bloody ridiculous against the short pitch stuff.
achilles Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 The Captain's ego has led to the team conceding 170 runs, which seem very difficult to chase atm
Sir_Afridi Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Dhoni should have apologized after getting whitewashed and losing number 1 rank. What do you guys think? Are 20/20s more important than tests for your captain cool?
Rahul Dravid Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 wtf this is from 2009... get a life u PAKI
Desi Cartman Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Dhoni should have apologized after getting whitewashed and losing number 1 rank. What do you guys think? Are 20/20s more important than tests for your captain cool? maybe he should have resigned or even better, tried biting the ball
