With the unseeded pair anderson/dev varman looking to make it 2 sets each. They are leading the set by 4-2. This is heading towards 5h set. Looks like bhupathi/knowles aren't playing good tennis
Cricketics Posted June 24, 2009 Author Posted June 24, 2009 Game then ended in 4 sets. Bhupathi and Knowles came back to win the 4th set by 7-5. Good confidence booster though for Somdev Dev Varman. He appeared for the first time in a Grandslam Event. Sania Mirza on the other end has lost first set by 6-4 and her opponent is now serving for the match in the 2nd set.

Unfortunately Australian open champions Sania Mirza/Bhupathi are in the same draw as Leander Paes. Paes/Black got a bye in the first round and are in 2nd round. Bhupathi/Mirza are likely to meet with Paes/Black in the third round.
