From this very Thread. :D
Check my previous posts before that and how I supported him to the hilt when everybody dismissed him.. but due to hit crap batting abilities I told that he should be kicked out instead of Kohli.. right now also I am not saying he should be in the team.. he needs to improve his batting and if he can do so he will be a very good addition and maybe a permanent member of the Indian team in the future.. for now he performed well in bowling but his batting was not tested in this match

I still say that this guy is MOST USELESS guy in the history of Indian Cricket... We dont need itsy bitsy cricketers...We need matchwinners... I rather have A.Mishra or P.Chawla(who is a better striker of the ball) than this bhikari... Y.Pathan is a better bowler than R.Jadeja... We need Y.Pathan back!! ..

Give me what you are smoking :winky: Yusuf Pathan at best a net bowler. This guy has nagging line and length. Yusuf Pathan is a glorified slogger who cannot play certain of deliveries. He may be good Rajasthan Rao Bahadur Royals. Not good enough to rely on at this level. It is Harbhajan who has been useless with ball for a while.

c'mon he needs more chances... yeah well he did not play as aggressively as his role might have required of him sometimes, but then previously on similar situations yusuf completely catipulated.

ok lets see what are his positives first . he is a excelent fielder and i am sure u guys will agree.. he is a good bowler and gives dhoni "take the ball away from batsmen" option since he is a left armer .. and to be frank i dont remember him being hit out in recent matches be it ODI or T20 .. and yes he does not have hitting capabilities which has to be his negatives but he certainly has the ability to build a partnership and finish off some close games. he is a very young prospect and we should give him time to develop .. same goes to kohli .. he seems to have hunger to reprsent india and a hard worker too ..

I think he is focussing a bit more on power rather than Timing. If we talk about small framed guys Dinesh Karthik comes to my mind. He probably got bit more muscles. But he times the ball very well instead of powering it or atleast Rohit who is all about timing.

If Jadeja would have focused on power then there would not have been any problem with his batting. We just need some quick runs from him thats it. But the problem is that he does not try to hit shots at all. BTW where have you seen him focusing on power :P

Whenever he tries big shots it barely makes it to boundary atleast that is what i have been witnessing in the few matches that he played for India. The bats are so good these days You don't really need to impart exceptional power to clear boundaries. You just have to time it well.

well said, Yusuf Pathan is really overhyped, he still has serious work to do to get to international standards

Definitely is a better investment than Yusuf at #7..we wasted close to 18 months hoping Yusuf will come good. I can see Jadeja being a lot more successful if given the same kind of opportunity.

Yup... I agree .. but at the same time I wont waste 18 months again on any other player.. if Jadeja is played regularly I would give him two series at the most ... frankly speaking his bowling is comparable to frontline spinners but he needs to get his batting in order soon.. I dont know why cant he hit like IPL 1 again where he was brilliant in hitting fours and sixes Even those 30-40 he produced in IPL 1 are good enough for cementing his place at the no. 7 spot
