Allow me to insert a somewhat imperfect analogy, but one that made me think a bit: I have lived in the US for a good long time, and have earned a good living here. Let us assume I get my citizenship in a few years. If Andy Roddick played Leander Paes in the Olympics, guess who I am pulling for. If the US fields a cricket team in a few years and plays India, guess who I am pulling for? Does that make me a traitor - one way or another? I hope not - it is just sports fandom. The real test will come if India and the US ever wage a real war against one another.
But in any case you were to support India then go back and support ... who the $%$ cares who do you support. And w/o your support US is not going to lose...

This is why I think it would be best if Taliban take over pakistan. Once Taliban swarm over the PoK, the Indian Kashmiris will drop all plans to join pakistan.

I heard of British born pakistani youth trying to convert people and speaking of destruction to Britain....it's like they want all the freedom, luxury and at the same time they want to enforce their faith on others (non muslims)....they can bed any non muslim girl they want but won't let their sister/daughter do the same. Hypocrisy runs from Kashmir to DC ....never happy with wherever they stay...always looking for a separate land for muslims...always alienating themselves from rest of the world... gives theology preference over science... ie: palestine, thailand, phillipines, chechnya, Kashmir

Premise :

I heard of British born pakistani youth trying to convert people and speaking of destruction to Britain....
Deduction :
it's like they want all the freedom, luxury and at the same time they want to enforce their faith on others (non muslims)....they can bed any non muslim girl they want but won't let their sister/daughter do the same.
Conclusion :
Hypocrisy runs from Kashmir to DC ....never happy with wherever they stay...always looking for a separate land for muslims...always alienating themselves from rest of the world... gives theology preference over science... ie: palestine, thailand, phillipines, chechnya, Kashmir
:laugh: This is absolutely top notch logical and analytical reasoning for anyone interested in learning.

Lone- couldn't make up his mind as to what he wanted to do- clown really' date=' he lost any respect he had from the Kashmiris. Either you believe in what you do or you don't- and you take the necessary steps. He really didn't have a clue! But he'll be ok cuz he has a lot of money, not that he cares for the people there. Infact, I sometimes wonder if the Indians or Pakistanis do- or whether it is just rivers.[/quote'] hassan, looks like it's a futile exercise trying to reason on Kashmir with you. Before the elections you wished and hoped for Lone to win and now that he was routed he suddenly becomes evil!!

I wasnt. The optimal scenario is a Talibanized pakistan minus the nukes. I am confident that the US will denuke pakistan if Taliban takeover is imminent. Once pakistan loses the facade of a responsible government and its nukes, no country in the world would ever stop India from punishing pakistan for any anti-India activities like in the aftermath of 26/11. Kashmir would be solved automatically as well. We could scrap the Indus Water Treaty without a murmur from the World Bank and use the waters for ourselves. The benefits of a Talibanized pakistan (minus nukes) are huge.

This 'it has to get bad before it gets better' nonsense is callous to say the least. So you want a Taliban run Pakistan do you? With its subsequent increase, no doubt, in cross border terrorism and the increased suffering of the Pakistani people. A stable, free and democratic Pakistan is better for the whole subcontinent, especially India in my opinion.

With its subsequent increase' date=' no doubt, in cross border terrorism and the increased suffering of the Pakistani people. A stable, free and democratic Pakistan is better for the whole subcontinent, especially India in my opinion.[/quote'] The international border is fenced and it is virtually impossible for the Taliban to initiate cross border activities across the IB, they will get slaughtered. The only problem is the LoC due to the terrain and weather. However, a Taliban controlled pakistan will have zero credibility and India will be able to launch punitive strikes across the LoC with ease. I ask you - pakistan was relatively stable, free and (sort of) democratic during Benazir Bhuttos first term, but that did not stop them from fueling terrorism in Kashmir and propping up the Taliban. You need to realize that the anti-India mentality in common pakistanis is too deeply ingrained, they will always use whatever resources available to hurt India. I think only a decade or two of pure islam of the Taliban kind can rectify the situation. You can see the parallel in Iran - 30 years of mullah rule has completely frustrated the Iranians. They now want a more modern and secular government. Well, pakistan also needs a similar catharsis, only more potent - in the form of Talibani mullah rule.

First of all, look at the source. ...its a Pakistani "Zaid Hamid' type website..DAWN...... some kabbaaadi wali newspaper of Pakistan cooks up a story and a random picture and u guys fall for it ... Yes some Kashmiris probably support Pakistan but the way its exagerated in the article, its a big OTT... no way Pakistani reporters from Dawn came all the way to Srinagar to cover this report... and if you look at the time the article was published, it was mere 6 hours after Pakistan won... Dawn news paper is one of those newspaper who blamed Heera Lal and Pannalal for the attacks on Mumbai..so plz dont quote Dawn as a source even in Wikipedia...

it's a known fact that Kashmir wants to be with Pakistan and Jammu wants to be with India..and we all know the reason behind that.

It is also common knowledge.

I am sure if Afghanistan won the world cup, there would be many paks in SWAT and tribal areas celebrating this! With many pro Taliban fans. They would celebrate for sure, if under sharia you are allowed to celebrate that is!

Posted
balouchs celebrated whenever pak loses
They should give baluchistan independence then! And if SWAT or tribal areas near Afghan border support afghanistan or want pakistan to lose they also should get independence!
