Oh my God.This guy is such a self promoter, arrogance personified stating his opinions like some truths.Never saw such a host who is full of attitude. He just can't stand any one overtakes him while discussing, immediately raise his voice at the maximum. But hey no one can beat Sean Hannity thats for sure.

It's the idiots who appear on his show who are to be blamed.
i hardly think that is fair! if one has a show that claims to be a conduit for news and current affairs, there is an incumbent responsibility on the host to present the matter with a certain disconnect, without bias and hopefully without hostility. how come we never use that argument for the numerous guests who have been cornered and disgraced by investigative journalism shows such as frontline, 60 minutes etc etc?

O'Reilly spews this bs everyday on his show aimed at conservative America. He's two sashes away from competing in popularity with Rush Limbaugh amongst the GOP crowd.

Two things , OReilly is not a conservative he calls him a traditionalist , he's socially liberal to some extent, secondly apart from his child protective (The Catholic Church sex saga) shows which I commend him for , his show is just hyperbole. His problem is he equates viewership % to being right, in other words just because people watch him and his show is #1 he thinks he's right.

well to be honest, he is not socially liberal. he is absolutely opposed to same sex marriages, he would like an overturning of Roe vs. Wade, and he prefers that the school must stay away from sex education. furthermore, he is opposed to needle exchange that usually is offered to drug addicts to limit the spreading of AIDS, and above all, he is militantly opposed to any immigration reform that stops short of rounding up individuals of hispanic descent and driving them back across the border. as for his coverage of the child protection from sex predators, his emphasis was on individuals malfeasants and judges who did not reward adequately firm punishments. if a judge ever suggested rehab and psychological evaluation of an alleged rapist, he would being pulling out his hair in disgust and disapproval. he would flash the pictures of those judges and in not so many words advocate their outster in the next election or by other means that he could not allegedly be involved with. to the best of my knowledge, i dont think he had a single expose of an ex minister or a current minister, accused in the sex scandal. though if you have evidence to the contrary, please do post it! as for viewership %... consider this: more people watch american idol than all the top ten news chanels combined. does that mean that the opinions expressed on american idol are reflective of the nation's pulse?

Bill O claims to be looking out for you , the truth can't be further from that . He claims to be a social conservative and he is ! After all he got caught with his pants down with his former producer Andrea Mackris . Poor Bill O'Reilly had to settle the sexual harassment lawsuit by his former producer out of court !:haha: Social Conservatives are hypocrites , I tell you . Ask Newt Gingrich !

I believe he was quite instrumental in getting Cardinal Law removed, though to what extent is questionable.

As far as I know American Idol doesnt stand for any issue nor does it make bombastic statements as a platform of the broadcast. O'Reilly makes statements and maintains positions on various issues, and since he has 2.5million viewers watching him he tends to believe they agree with him.

I don't know why you are all so against Bill O'Reilly. I love him. He's the king. He's the inspiration to my favorite TV Show, the Colbert Report. I mean, Colbert literally lives by O'Reilly's word. Couldn't think of a better situation. :--D

or the junior senator from nevada... but bill'o s was a classic. when he was invited over to the colbert report, colbert jived that "there were no sex offenders at the table" (when in fact what bill had been accused of, and confessed to, was a sex related misdemeanor). furthermore, i can never look at a loofah the same way after the bill'o incident.

Its safe to say the Conservatives have met their match in Obama. Quite frankly, they’re clueless on how to deal with this guy. Everytime they throw a punch at him, he either dodges it completely, or defends it competently or punches back so hard that it takes them a while to recover. What I find most shocking about ‘O Reilly is the continuous thrashing of the Abortionist, Dr.Tiller, even after he’s dead. Man, these people don’t even spare the dead souls.

Dr Tiller sure didnt spare 'dead souls' either. Apropos your statement about Obama, his approval rating has started to wilt.

What he did was entirely within the law and the constitution of the United States. So, to call him names like 'Tiller the Killer' is implicitly terming the US constitution as some sort of killer document.

Why wouldnt it? He came in with such a high approval rating that at some point, it will begin to fade a bit. But even now, a majority of the American people support him on the most of the important issues.

Open Question - What is your opinion about the rights of late-term fetuses? Branching off from that post on Dr.Tiller, I'd like to open a debate on what people perceive to be the rights of late-term fetuses. Now, I don’t know enough to even define what a late term fetus is. Is it 6+ months or 7+ months? Be that as it may, do any of you here think a 7 month old fetus enjoys the same sort of rights (to life) as say a new-born baby? If yes, why? If no, why?
