afridi6666 Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Aamer has mirchi in his pants? be smart, i was talkign abou the posters above, a 4-for, how overrrated is he man, a flat deck where pak has scored 280 he has only got 4 wickets,
vvvslaxman Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 aamer vs australia thats when the boy will do welll, trust me, unlike sharma he wont avg 60 v them Akram, Younis, Akhtar, Saqlain, Mustaq, Azhar Mahmood this was the bowling line up against Australia in 1999 tour. Lost 0-3. Next time you guys had Akhtar, Sami, Razzaq, Kaneria. Lost 0-3 Hope your Aamer continues this trend :--D
iHammad Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 aamer 4 wickets on a flat track against kottay lankans!!! wohoo!!! Im soo happy today
Texy Posted August 10, 2009 Author Posted August 10, 2009 This guy is truly impressive, putting Senior bowlers like Akhtar and Asif to shame. Hats off!
afridi6666 Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 This guy is truly impressive' date=' putting Senior bowlers like Akhtar and Asif to shame. Hats off![/quote'] boy did well today, got tendulkar with the cutter, a smart thinking bowler, slowed down his pace at the end and bowled cutters, no balls are a problem but at 17, played in a world cup final, and bowl at the death vs India
Celeste Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Aamir walks the talk by taking Sachin wicket.
vvvslaxman Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Pack the side with lefties. This guy will be shot to pieces.
ViruRulez Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I would agree that the kid is good though not much against lefties. He has good control of the ball and swing for a kid of his age.
shak Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 he is atleast 20' date=' i have never seen 17 year old to bowl at 92 mile/hr[/quote'] Wasim at age of 18 bolwed like the wind in Australia in '84. video footages show he was slender and just over 6' or 6'1 max at that time and now is much taller...definitely a teenager then. I like the aggressive streak in Amir. In huge matches of recent the way he took out pros like Dilshan and then Tendulkar so early with well-planned execution demonstrate how good this guy can really become.
shak Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Pack the side with lefties. This guy will be shot to pieces. Turning your team selection strategy into just one dimesion for a single bowler merely shows how much you rate him as a bowler! :haha:
champ Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 he is a good find for pakistan . but the kid seems to have some attitude.. may be the hype has got to do something with it. but other than getting tendlu yest with a good ball pitched up , i dint see anything extra ordinary .
vvvslaxman Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Turning your team selection strategy into just one dimesion for a single bowler merely shows how much you rate him as a bowler! :haha: That was just exaggerated. But he bowls very poorly to lefties. If you include Yuvi it is 3 of them. But he is yet to taste Sehwag medicine :--D
Pak_Fan_4_Eva Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Aamir has shown maturity beyond his age. Of course he`s new and it`ll take time for him to bowl in the right places but Wasim says he learns quite fast and he certainly showed it by bowling a tight line to the right handers Lefties are a problem but I`m sure he`ll work it out quite soon.
Asim Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I am extremly happy to see him in Pakstani team at thi level as I know him personally since 5 years back, he lives just 1 km away from my home. Why I am happy... because he reached at this level mainly because of his ability and performance first and then may be a luck factor that somehow he cam in sight of Wasim Akram who strongly recommended to keep an eye on this bowler [May be he watched his own childhood in him :) ]. He belongs to a very much struggling family in financial terms. Till 13, 14 age he had only galli mohally cricket here, then in club, then some under 16, (then he had some gap too I think), just last year he started 1st class carrier and within 1 year PCB thrown him at International level and after T20, in TEST and right after it ODIs. I wish him all the best best of luck for his carrier. Last night it was extreme pleasure for me to watch what he achieved, getting Sachin out, Wow, I remember 6 years back in same ground Wasim+Waqar+Shoaib couldn't stop Sachin to play a match winning role but he did.
Texy Posted September 27, 2009 Author Posted September 27, 2009 highly impressed with this kid.... I see a glimpse of future Akram
Jai Ho Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 okay I take back what I said earlier, boy is good :cantstop:. Now only if this kid was Indian. :--D
