Kashmiri Bhiryani - hmm, now that would be nice Bengali Bhiryani, I know fish dishes but bengali bhiryani..hmm, dunno know, somethings dont mix awadhi is the biriyani which is typical of awadh.....which consists of present day UP and Bihar.....it is also known as lucknowi biriyani.......perhaps the best of them all the bengali biriyani is also known as kacchi biriyani.....made popular by the nawabs of bengal........it is cooked in a special way with chicken and gravy at the bottom of the pot and the rice is topped over it.....then it is steamed.....traditionally served with a type of raita and a meat dish known aschaap Bengali cuisine was influenced by mughals......as well as lucknow nawabs when the last nawab was exiled to kolkata as well by the soth indian style when the family of tipu sultan was exiled to kolkata... the kashmiri biriyani is very unique it is also called the wazawan biriyani.....it is said to be very unique and is served with kebabs and chutney and other things..... hope u find this useful Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
