Mr. Wicket
Yup. Farewell to one heck of a cricketer. Link to comment
Dinx - the Jinx
Great players. With limited speed and skills, its a great achievement that he served his country well for more than a decade. :hatsoff: to a great fighter Link to comment
yoshi
for me hes a top quality bowler- this guy can swing an orange Link to comment
Mr. Wicket
I'll also add that I've met Vaas on a couple of occasions, last time was in NZ at a game (in Queenstown) where Sri Lanka got hammered. Vaas took just a wicket and wouldn't have been too happy after the loss, but he was a class act and hung around after the game, chatting with a number of fans, signing autographs and being a really nice guy in general. Cricket needs more of these gentlemen. Link to comment
Lord
expected.Sad end to a great cricketer.i still feel he had more than a year left in him.selectors r looking too much into this series perormances.Thushara n Kulasakeras wil be exposed brutally against better teams like India. anyways, well done Sir,u have been a legend:hatsoff: Link to comment
King Tendulkar
One of the most under rated cricketers ever. Certainly the most underrated player in last decade. Absloute top class performer, yet never got the kudos he deserved. Probably because his speeds on the bottom of the tv screen which flash up did not impress. But his volume of wickets and swing and seam certainly did. Link to comment
Cricketics
The Class VAAS. thtas what i used to call him. Always admired this guy. An extremely underrated cricketer. Never came in any controversy etc just like many other sri lankans. A very good bowler who could bat well down the order too. Will be missed. Link to comment
Tapioca
He was too overrated as an underrated cricketer. Link to comment
kumble_rocks
Great player ! Could have been a genuine allrounder had he concentrated more on his batting ... Link to comment
hari504504
He was always the Tendu tormentor whenever Indi aplayed SL after the 96 WC win... innumerable times he's gotten the maestro lbw with the famous jagging the ball in from around the stumps.. One of the 'over achievers' of the game... Link to comment
riya
He was too overrated as an underrated cricketer. :haha: Very true. The guy was so disciplined in his line and length and great exponent of swing as well. Beautiful economic action.Amazing player . Link to comment
Lurker
Great cricketer of his time. Not sure he would have performed in a different era but in his time he was one of the better ones out there. Knew his talents and limitations and performed well within it. Also quite handy as a batsman down the order. Link to comment
Nash
Last some days, I thought he is spinner.. :hysterical: Link to comment
