Mine is still http://xxx.lanl.gov/list/astro-ph/new from my academia days. Never bothered to change it and gives me a 2 minute peek into things.

Does it pick them up randomly or sequentially? sequentially. i am sure there must be an addon/extension to open them randomly. edit: it does not support firefox 3.5, but if you have nightly tools (Addon) you can then use it without any problems.
