sangrock
After the Ashes loss - which looks to be around the corner. What will be the reprecussions in Australia? Will Ricky Ponting be sacked? Will Mr. Cricket be dropped from the Aussie squad? Will Clark-Lee be back as the strike bowlers? What about England? Link to comment
sm332
The only likely outcome is Hussey being jettisoned. Link to comment
King Tendulkar
Ponting will have to be sacked! I may be wrong but when they lose this series, I make it he will have lost 3 out of the last 4 test series he has skippered. Plus now Clarke has truly become a world class performer they seem to have a ready made replacement, although do you want to burden your prolific young run maker with the captaincy? Hussey has to go. sangrock
What about Trott-Bopara-Bell triangle for England? Has Trott edged out Bapu for at least a few test series? Link to comment

Sacking Ponting seems to be right decision but I still do not believe that Clarke is a captain material. Hussey has to go and Symonds has to come back (which seems improbable). I do not expect Ponting to be sacked but he should resign. Link to comment
sm332
Very true MM ... however ... do you see the Aussies chasing down anything north of 300 on this track/ I certainly dont and cant see how they will winkle out the Poms for less than a similar 150 Link to comment

Lurker
4. All the British "Indians"/"Pakistanis", yeah the same folks who show off their British passports but end up supporting any country that plays England, will have eggs on their faces and would keep complaining about over the top celebrations. :hysterical: Go England! But we have seen weirder things happen on a cricket field. Link to comment
King Tendulkar
England will label Broad the new all rounder. Rashid will come in to team in next couple of years. Collingwood will be out , making way for Bopara. Harmmison will retire. Cook is under pressure but will retain spot Link to comment

ShermanAve
Hussey should be dropped for the Aussie summer. He might be given last chance against weak WI team but he will be found out again against Aamir,Asif & Gul later this year. Ponting wont be sacked. He has earned the status symbol like Tendulkar. He will resign when he wants. Link to comment
