ViruRulez
im confused.. 2 weeks ago' date=' they said chandrayan disappeared r soemthing like tht..[/quote'] Chandrayan never disappeared but they lost contact with Chandrayan due to some technical problems. They still do not have any technical contact directly with Chandrayan but there was one year of research before this problem occurred. So, I think they did enough research. And it was never a failure. Every moon mission or any other such mission is only for a definite period and it was the same with Chandrayan. The Chandrayan mission was bound to end one day but they lost contact a bit earlier. Anyways ISRO had declared it a success anyways.

Ram
This is great, we’re getting some terrific publicity out of this. This is what nation building is all out. Its about projecting an image of success and spreading our soft-power throughout the comity of nations. Space is at the forefront of these image wars and any worthwhile that gets done in this area generally gets a lot of publicity. Now, if only we could replicate this sort of success on the sports field and win a lot more gold medals in the Olympics

The Outsider
This isn't exactly new - past missions have detected H-O signals as well. Perhaps the quantities detected are higher? Will have to wait for their papers.
punjabi_khota
This isn't exactly new - past missions have detected H-O signals as well. Perhaps the quantities detected are higher? Will have to wait for their papers. From what I have read so far, the new part is the fact that water is present on more areas rather than just some localized regions.
