Cricketics
The song was originally sung by Kishore kumar but it came again in the movie Dil Vil Pyar Vyar in 2002(one of my fav hindi movies) and in that movie this song was sung by Kumar Sanu. For some reason, Kumar Sanu's version to mear is more soothing. A brilliant song sung by Kishore Kumar but i have to say Kumar Sanu's version beats that version. Also watch the movie Dil Vil pyar Vyar. The movie came in 2002 with all old songs sung by new singers in it. Here are the two diff versions of the song. One by Kumar Sanu and the other by Kishore Kumar. Cricketics
Sanus sounds more soothing to you coz of latest instruments and digital sound' date=' for me its mostly retro[/quote'] may be perhaps thats the reason. Perhaps thats also has to do that I am big Sanu fan. But regardless of that, there is something about this song. Specially the middle part of it. Both sang brilliantly. Cricketics
That one is a nice. Just like we praise people like Amir khan about chosing good movies, i think i would nominate Kumar Sanu for chosing to sing on good music. His most of the songs are just class. DomainK
Kishore and Rafi any day I dont like Sanu - naak se gaata hai I think he was a very lucky singer to win those many awards. He is a very average singer. And yes, it's technology that makes them all sound better than they actually are.
coffee_rules
We used to call him Kumar Nasu (for sounding Nasal all the time!). I agree, he has sung some good songs in the 90s. I like this song ... vgaNdItwoTQ
ViruRulez
Kishore and Rafi any day I dont like Sanu - naak se gaata hai I agree that Kishore, Rafi and Mukesh are a class apart. Their voice qualities were brilliant. Similarly Lata Mangeshkar is a class apart amongst female singers. Her sisters are also very good. But amongst the present generation, Kumar Sanu has surely got a very good voice. Similarly Pankaj Udhas, Jagjit Singh, Udit Narayan, Hariharan, Sonu Nigam, Lucky Ali etc. also have great voices. But they cannot be compared to the legends still and I agree on that. Regarding Dil Vil Pyar Yar from which the song in the first post is embedded, I like the song "O Hanisni" the most amongst all the songs in the film
riya
The nasal king is lucky to get some great songs in the 90s.And it is surprising that he has plenty of fans.
