nikred Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 wow I just don't know what to say. This whole episode is weird. Wasn't expecting much anyways. Feel sorry for Ian Pont though.
Jai Ho Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Ian Pont, Thank you sir for coming on this site and informing us on the situation with Atul Sharma. Sorry for all the trouble you had been through. Good luck in the future.
EnterTheVoid Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 FEEL SORRY FOR PONT ? :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: Oh god, stop it. My sides hurt You keep us interested for months on end through trickles of information, only to get completely PWNED by a conman. Sharma BAILS, Pont left with the BILLS. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Malcolm Merlyn Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Just to close the chapter on Atul Sharma for everyone who has shown interest. I would like to apologise to everyone here for what has appeared to be someone who has tricked everyone over his intentions - including me. Apart from disappearing owing me money, fans also know that Mr Sharma did not play in the IPL and the Rajasthan Royals confirmed he never showed up, nor did he sign a contract with them. He has vanished. I do not wish to be associated with Mr Sharma and fully regret being taken in by someone who even calls himself ''Conman'' on Skype. Any unhappy fans can ask Mr Sharma himself (+919821330812, atulsharma11@aol.com) why he did this to Indian cricket supporters. Good luck getting a response. I am happy this person is out of my life but sad it cost me a lot of money and heartache in the end. I will never trust people again. Ian i must say u should not apologise,u did what a good coach will do,believed in a talent and nurtured it.But it came back to bite you.Can you please tell me if you have pressed charges on him?Do you have his address? If he didnt sign a contract with RR why did they show him on their website? On second thoughts,i hope now you find a real quick bowler to show to the world what are you capable of.Best of luck......it was a pleasure knowing you and i hope you find a few indian quick bowlers and let us know about them

Publicizing this Atul guy. I am sure his intention was right but he put his reputation at stake by doing that.
Malcolm Merlyn Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 That's the mistake he made. Publicizing this Atul guy. I am sure his intention was right but he put his reputation at stake by doing that. yes he did.....now i sincerely hope and pray that he finds us a really quick indian bowler......so that his reputation is enhanced. what does atul sharma want to do?he trains for 3 years and then vanishes......i dont find any motive......he cld have earned millions as ian says he was quick........saale ko kisne kaat liya yaar
ViruRulez Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Ian I am sorry to hear about it and best of luck for the future. Frankly speaking the Atul Sharma episode disappointed us Indian cricket fans as we were waiting eagerly for him to show up. But it turned into a joke very soon. Sorry to say but many Indian cricket fans I know also took you as a joke after the Atul Sharma episode. I am a bit confused as to why there was Atul Sharma mentioned in the IPL website. I am quite sure he was mentioned in the RR squad in the IPL website. I think the official IPL website has been pulled down now and the domain is redirecting to clt20 website but it was there in the previous website for sure. Anyways best of luck for the future and always make sure to get written contracts before training anybody.
Lord Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 yes he did.....now i sincerely hope and pray that he finds us a really quick indian bowler......so that his reputation is enhanced. what does atul sharma want to do?he trains for 3 years and then vanishes......i dont find any motive......he cld have earned millions as ian says he was quick........saale ko kisne kaat liya yaar this confuses me too.why the hell would he run away with petty money wen he could have legally made miliions if he really bowled fast?sounds unbelievable to me
Malcolm Merlyn Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 this confuses me too.why the hell would he run away with petty money wen he could have legally made miliions if he really bowled fast?sounds unbelievable to me this atul has a serious problem man...........leaving millions.........i think he doesnt want to pay IAN any money so he has run away will surface later wen IAN has forgotten about this and the hype is dead
msb1991 Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 How bizarre. Conning Ian out of money is one thing, but when there is infinite more on offer in the IPL, this certainly does not seem to make much sense. Hope ICF can get in contact with Atul to clear this out.
EnterTheVoid Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Hey Pont, if its any consolation, I will give you my ICF $$$. Than we'll both be broke. Than we can laugh at each other :hysterical:
saneindian Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 One of the pehelwaans on the show " De dhana dhan" on Colors channel looks exactly like Atul sharma :)
Nova Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Who is this sree_india? He seems so immature :idunno:
EnterTheVoid Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Lighten up guys. Am i the only one who sees the funny side to this ?
DomainK Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Lighten up guys. Am i the only one who sees the funny side to this ? No, but I think your expression of the funny side borders on mockery.
Bumblebee Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 whats the point of creating this thread ? :hmmm::hmmm::hmmm::hmmm::hmmm:
ViruRulez Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 So he did/does actually exist? I thought he was a myth, created to get us all excited. I feel for you Ian. Sorry mate. I just made some more searches on the net and found even a video interview of him at the India Today website. I also found two more interviews and I am not sure how all that can be fake. Here are 3 parts of a video interview with Atul Sharma from India Today. I am not sure how that can be fake because India Today is one of the biggest magazines in India and headlines today is also a reputed news channel. http://indiatoday.intoday.in/index.php?option=com_magazine&opt=section§ionid=86&secid=99&videoid=43023&start_bottom=0&ptype=video http://indiatoday.intoday.in/index.php?option=com_magazine&opt=section&ptype=video&videoid=43023∂=2§ionid=86&secid=99 http://indiatoday.intoday.in/index.php?option=com_magazine&opt=section&ptype=video&videoid=43023∂=3§ionid=86&secid=99 I also checked the page source code and found the direct link of the videos. If you find difficult in watching the video, then you can download the videos directly from the following links. It seems the interview was taken when he was still training at Maverick's Academy and Atul also speaks about the Indian team, IPL and everything else in the interview. I am really confused and you can download the videos for yourself. Part 1 http://media1.itgo.in/indiatoday//video/May/052009070207_20Atul_Fast_Bowler1_150k.flv Part 2 http://media1.itgo.in/indiatoday//video/May/052009070512_20Atul_Fast_Bowler2_150k.flv Part 3 http://media1.itgo.in/indiatoday//video/May/052009070609_20Atul_Fast_Bowler3_150k.flv I found two more written interviews in Spin magazine http://www.dreamcricket.com/dreamcricket/news.hspl?nid=11681&ntid=4 http://www.spincricket.com/2009/05/08/atul-sharma-speaks/ I dont think this Atul Sharma guy is fake but the whole thing seems to be a weird puzzle which cannot be solved easily. :sniffle:
EnterTheVoid Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 The biggest joke = He conned Pont when he could have made more out of the IPL :hysterical: Anyways, I will leave it at that
