kabira
So far we had near full houses in the evening games when IPL teams/home team was playing. Tomorrow both the games involve other teams. Will Kotla be even half full? If there isn't much crowd tomorrw, we can safely say CL failed to bring crowds to neutral games. Link to comment
King Tendulkar
Its all about viewing figures rather then attendences. Anyway CL is to be taken to other countries and its under guise of International league. If it goes to england next most games will be packed and it will be massive success Link to comment
vvvslaxman
It will be more that what we had for (100 tops?) challenger Trophy which involves exclusively Indian players including some "super stars". Link to comment
SachDan
So far we had empty stadiums for all matches not featuring any of the IPL sides. Don't expect things to change tomorrow...may be from next round onwards it will happen. Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Why stadiums. Not many cared about those matches even in forum. Link to comment
ViruRulez
The CL T20 is still a huge success without doubt.. yes the stadium attendance wont be that good tomorrow compared to other days (assuming that they sell single ticket for viewing both the matches) .. but still there will be decent crowd in the evening and I am sure.. at least 30-40% attendance IMO.. moreover the TV viewership will be good.. the CL T20 is already a huge success.. it might have faced some major jolts if IPL teams did not make it to the second round but with two teams already into the second round it should be a steady affair Link to comment
yoda
I am surprised. I thought us desis will watch anything. Link to comment
Jersey #10
I am surprised. I thought us desis will watch anything. watch anything as in anything involving cricket or just "anything"? :hysterical: j/k but yeah, Indians always crave for more and more cricket, it will be surprising if there is minimal crowd tomorrow. :nervous: Link to comment
Params7
You guys watching the current match? Stadium sure is making a lot of noise. Nowhere as empty as i thought it would be. Link to comment
Cricketics
The Wayamba vs Victoria game got decent crowd keeping in mind it was played in the day time. Then this night game sure has some decent crowd with two neutral foreign club sides playing. I think 2020 is doing the trick by bringing more and more people. Link to comment
Params7
yeah I guess CL passed the test :giggle: Now it would be a good move to have IPL4 or CL2 hosted in the USA. Stadiums are guaranteed to be full based off the immigration population alone, and no better way to show Americans on TV that cricket isn't all tea and crumpets. Link to comment
jusarrived
on the contrary , lesser crowd only means fan following for IPL teams and loyalties building gradually ...CL will always pull relatively less crowds , cos not many teams would want to watch unknown teams playing another unknown team , with unknown player . CL in SA or Aus , next season might prove to be a bigger success imo Link to comment
Guest Hiten.
IPL should always be held in India and CL should be kept on rotating basis. IPL in foreign land makes no sense as majority of the players taking part in the league are local and the crowd can sense more connectivity with them. Link to comment

CL in SA or Aus , next season might prove to be a bigger success imo CL next year in Aus would be great. Only thing is that around this time of the year, Ground like MCG might not be available to host games regularly since that stadium is occupied by Aussie rules football games. But surely Aus over SA man, too many tournaments have taken placev in SA already. It's time for Aus now. Link to comment
ViruRulez
The crowd was pretty decent today. It proved that CL T20 is a success. I was surprised to see such a good crowd for today's matches as no IPL teams were playing. Hats off to Lalit Modi. :hatsoff: Link to comment
Cricketics
I loved how the whole Indian crowd with british crowd were singing Barmy Army to cheer sussex sharks. Link to comment

The Indian spectators in the ground were supporting Sussex alongside the barmy army. Saw the barmy army after a long time today. Link to comment
SachDan
We can safely say CL passed the acid test today. Not just coz the second match was a cracker but crowd turn out was quite good in the evening. Even on match days featuring IPL teams, crowds were not that high for the day match. CL is here to stay :yay::yay: Link to comment

Don't think they are all part of Barmy Army. Alan Donald was saying that contingent came from Brighton. Whole hearted supporters of Sussex. Link to comment
