Little_Master Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Allright guys, this evening i was watching the memorable T20 semi final Ind vs Aus and it got me thinking that Uthappa played pretty well throughout the T20 world cup and also performed against the aussies in Australia. I am not a big fan of Uthappa, but i see him as someone who can bat at 6 or 7 specially with yuvi concreting the no 4 spot. He is definitely better than Yusuf Pathan and Kohli. I like his sheer arrogance of walking down the track and hitting the fast bowlers for 6.:two_thumbs_up: What are your thoughts? I see him and irfaan pathan as 2 guys who can fit in and bring better balance to the indian team.
urbestfriend Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 He is an FTB, cant play short ball either.:nervous:
sachinrox Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 He looks to play the ball in the air on most occasions, if he clears infield we say its a lovely stroke, a ball later if he attempts the same stroke and is mistimed we say hes useless. So just say one thing rather than playing double time, i ll say hes useless everytime
Sooda Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Hes technically not so great, and as ubf pts out- a ftb Good striker of the ball though. I remember the match vs Aus in the t20 he played well, hit Johnson for some big sixes
Jai Ho Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 another player gone under due to media hype and his looks. :cantstop:
flamy Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 another player gone under due to media hype and his looks. :cantstop: he is back! :cantstop:
donkey Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Maybe if he could improve his wicketkeeping, he could be third option after dhoni and karthik.
DomainK Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 The guy has a bit of ego that he needs to shed. His love for theatrics sometimes over exceeds the urge to perform.
King Tendulkar Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 I rate Uthappa as a limited overs player. Loads of potential in odis, explosive at times. Never a test match player, EVER
spectre Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 I rate Uthappa as a limited overs player. Loads of potential in odis' date= explosive at times. Never a test match player, EVER Ok, Uthappam is now finished who's next on your hitlist
King Tendulkar Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Ok, Uthappam is now finished who's next on your hitlist What like Gambhir is finished after I campaigned for a year for his inclusion?:--D
kooljatt Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 i wud love to see him bk in indian colours, was an imp player in 2007 20-20 world cup
Little_Master Posted November 1, 2009 Author Posted November 1, 2009 I hope he gets a chance to come back into the team. ...i believe he is better than both Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
sarcastic Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 I hope he gets a chance to come back into the team. ...i believe he is better than both Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Is Robin Uthappa ready to join the international brigade once again?? Played a good knock today, the kind of innings you want to see a youngster playing!!!
skindia Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Untill srikkanth is there...he wont get single chance for comeback. This time mukund will get chance in odi..
