bunny
There's always a debate around whose the best batsman, bowler, wicketkeeper, hitter, test player, ODI player, fielder, etc. After watching Ricky over the last decade I can say without doubt that he is the best stump-hitter of all times. Good job. keep going. Hoping that you will be hired as the Indian fielding coach after you retire Just to get a conversation going, who stands second? Symonds, Gibbs? Link to comment

bunny
Clarke' date=' Rhodes, deVilliers are pretty damn good too.[/quote'] Yeah Clarke and DeVilliers are great too. Dont remember much of Rhodes. I didnt have cable in the mid90s and couldnt watch many of SA matches. Link to comment
Mr. Wicket
Rhodes was a superior fielder to pretty much everyone today. Clarke is very good, ditto de Villiers but neither is in Rhodes' class (though ABDV comes close). Link to comment

Don Sharma
IMHO, Rhodes is the best fielder ever but when it comes to hitting the stumps, there aren't many as good as Ponting. M Clarke looks good and Roger Harper was bloody good but not as good as Punter. Link to comment
ViruRulez
If you are saying greatest of all time then it is undoubtedly Rhodes Link to comment
SachDan
Best fielder ever? Without a shadow of doubt Jonty Rhodes IMO. Stop the ball, pick it up and throw at the stumps in one motion.. no one can do it better than Jonty :adore: Although Pwnting is good at hitting the stumps on a regular basis, batsmen are not that wary while taking risky runs against him. Where as Jonty always managed to induce fear factor in to their minds with his athletic fielding. Link to comment
