varun Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Memory is just electric charge at our synapses' date=' dies with the brain. There is no transferance anywhere.[/quote'] That is my opinion as well. I was trying to get flamy's.
flamy Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 How would you explain loss of memory due to brain damage. But everything we know is physical isn't it ? We live in a physical world. Thoughts and ideas (brain neurons), air (molecules), light (photons) is all physical Yes, everything we know is physical. Brain damage is a physical thing. The memory is not being retrieved on a physical plane.
varun Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Yes' date=' everything [i']we know is physical. If everything we know is physical, then how can we know of the existence of a metaphysical ?
flamy Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 If everything we know is physical' date=' then how can we know of the existence of a metaphysical ?[/quote'] The resonance. It is an intuitive knowing. Personal astral projection - when you can do this, you'll have direct knowing. Altered states of consciousness.
punjabi_khota Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 There isn't and shouldn't be a common purpose of life. To each his/her own. We have 6 billion people in this world..it would be boring if each had the same purpose. Ever our three Gods had different purpose..creator , destroyer and preserver ...
varun Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Personal astral projection - when you can do this, you'll have direct knowing. How do you know that isn't just hallucination.

flamy Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 How do you know that isn't just hallucination. To get out of body is a very real thing, the vibrations u feel et al. And then what you see later is "different" enough to convince you it is not a hallucination, especially when you have achieved that state with just meditation.
varun Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 To get out of body is a very real thing, the vibrations u feel et al. You mean it feels physical ? How can you be convinced of the metaphysical by how physically real it feels ? By doing that wouldn't you be implying that for you to believe something to be real, it has to feel evoke a physical stimulus from you, thereby conceding the point that reality is indeed physical
flamy Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 You mean it feels physical ? How can you be convinced of the metaphysical by how physically real it feels ? By doing that it would imply that you believe for something to be real' date=' it has to have a physical impact on you.[/quote'] No, it doesn't feel physical. It's more intuitive. You can call it a belief. For me, it's just resonance.
varun Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 No' date=' it doesn't feel physical. It's more intuitive. You can call it a belief. For me, it's just resonance.[/quote'] Yeah you said that before, what is resonance ?
nikred Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Flamy is BSing through his fat ass. :hysterical:

flamy Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Yeah you said that before' date=' what is resonance ?[/quote'] Something in me vibrates in resonance with the ideas of and about non-physical. It is a feeling-based knowing, intuitive as I've been saying. When I read about the astral experiences of others, and their descriptions of what they see and feel, of the universal language without words, of understanding by just understanding - it just makes sense to me, I just resonate with those "truths".
flamy Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Flamy is BSing through his fat ass. u calling me a bull?
nikred Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 u calling me a bull? A bull that is sh!tting all over the thread.
h4te Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 u calling me a bull? he's calling you a fat ass phag

Having said that, I'm not discounting the existence of this universal language or energy.. though it would seem to imply something on an quantum level ?

I confess, I haven't studied quantum physics, but I have come across references to it in my spiritual studies.
