Sooda man, you genuinely seem to be seeking ‘advice’, so here’s my $0.02; Before we start, congrats on getting married. It is a huge occasion for all of us, so good luck to you. :) With regards what you think will happen on your ‘first night’, here’s my take on it. First of all, ditch this notion that this is some sort of ‘test of your manhood’ or your ability to ‘perform in bed’. It plainly isn’t. Its as simple as two people of the opposite sex getting together. Its not like you’re going to be judged on what happens that ‘night’. This isn’t like X-factor or any of those reality shows and where someone like Simon Cowell is going to stand in the corner of the room and rate your performance and give you marks out of 10 or something. So chill on that. You seem anxious, which is understandable. But understand that anxiety will what hinder you most on bed. Did you know that if you’re anxious, you will not only be able to get peak ‘performance’, but will also ‘arrive’ early. I am sure you don’t want either happening. Like most things, men are best at what they do when they’re relaxed. You’ve heard tales of how to do this and how to do that from many of guys here. Even though I am sure they have the best intentions in their heart, I think its adding more to the confusion than anything else. Understand that the only difference b/w you and those guys is that while they may have ‘done’ it, you havent. That doesn’t make you any less of a man than them. You think some men are born ‘performers’ or something? Of course not! Everyone fumbles and stumbles, that’s perfectly natural. But then again, don’t go in with sky high expectations of having Hollywood style passionate sex were people fall of the bed, break glasses and scratch skins with finger-nails and stuff. That aint probably gonna happen either. And that brings me to the last part of the post, which is that there is no rule that says you HAVE to consummate on the ‘first night’. That’s madness, IMO. Build a chemistry with the lady first. Get up close and personal. Kiss, cuddle, snuggle, hug..whatever.. If that naturally leads into ‘doing’ it, go ahead. But if you’re not comfortable or confident, its ok to wait. And if you’re not coy about it, tell your wife why you’re a bit unsure. There’s a good chance she’s probably quite uncertain too and may appreciate your honesty. Maybe you can ‘do’ it a few days after, or maybe a week after. It doesn’t really matter. So here’s wishing you a wonderful ride in your married life! (I was gonna wish the same for your wife too, but figured that didn’t necessarily sound proper..:D) Good luck!

That MM my friend, is about the only sane post in this entire thread. And thanks for taking the time to write a genuine response Not married yet! just engaged, hopefully looking at next July. I am seeking advice. And seeing that the thread came up I thought Id ask ICfs resident experienced studmuffins. But ultimately It will NOT be off a message board- I do love all of you to bits, and most here are sensible dudes -but it will have to be an in depth conversation with someone who I can trust and know speaks sense. i.e Not Gunner :P (jking, love you really bava :rose:) Wedding is a long way away for a start so am not anxious yet, I think I will be though. The bare 'how' of it Im sure I can find out. I just want to make sure I make a 'good impression' on her on that first time-that is where my 'wanting to perform well' comes in And I am scared that i am going with high expectations, not just from the physical side of things, but from being married overall. I have never been in a relationship and am in my mid 20's. So I want it to be amazing. Nothing less. Dont know if thats a good thing The big doubt is of course the first time; And youre right, Gunner said the same thing, we will be essentially strangers, itd make sense to get to know her first. Build some sort of relationship, as you say will help being more relaxed. Might be a good idea to account for her opinion on the night as well lol and seeing that women are normally a) less horny and b) more sensible; she might want to wait too. So here’s wishing you a wonderful ride in your married life! Why thanks :--D Like I say a little while to go yet, but you can wish me then too.

And just to add on my friend, the single biggest mistake that most young men (like you, me and most others here) do is to fall prey to sterotypes.. We’re always telling ourselves ‘Oh no, I gotto do this like that, coz that’s how my friend told me its supposed to be done or that’s how it was in movies..’ This is probably unrelated to my previous post, but don’t do anything JUST because everyone else is doing it or say that’s the way it should be done. Do something because it makes sense to you (it may not makes sense to others). It may not look good on the outside, but at least, you will free yourself on internal conflict. This philosophy works for most things in life.

I started exploring at around 13-14, I 'did it' at 15, started steadily at 16. From there till the time i got married, max period in between would be 3 months, that too when I would be travelling out of my city. Have been happily married for 2 years now, we did do it before marrige while we were going steady too. After marriage max has been a week when i was travellling and only with my wife All this while never going out of India :giggle: I have lived in Ranchi, Calcutta, Bangalore, Kottayam

People tend to have deficiencies, no one is perfect. As long as you are able to accept and accomodate this you will be fine in a relationship. There will be moments where you have to give up something which you have always done or change a small thing which has become habit. But remember one thing, if she is worth it you have to make those sacrifices. This is one thing I have learnt about the emotional side of a relationship. Secondly, if you don't get the emotional side of a relationship right the physical aspect is just sex (just a ******) nothing more. You can never call it making love if you don't get the emotional side of the relationship right. Pure sex is briefly exhilarating, making love is intoxicating. PS: Loving me is pure ghey :P, you are a nice guy I have to admit.

Lol. I am pretty average looking, nothing striking. Till about 20, I was also an introvert. But I was always comfortable around girls, while in Ranchi, other guys shivered while even saying hi to them I think the trick is NOT to look at them like sex objects but as a valued person. Also to be a good listener. Like you mentioned, girls go crazy about good humour. Add in a dose of romanticism and poetry, etc and they will fall like nine-pins I dont claim to be an expert in any sense or a player. I have been very very lucky to have known some amazing women in my life and the sex is not the most important thing I remember about most of them. They have left a lot of memories behind

Talk, talk and talk some more. there is no better foreplay than talking to a girl and its very interesting too. Never go with any expectations or stereotypes. The magic you both will be making will be your owns and your own creation. If you want to pelase her more, that is the perfect attitude to have Think of it this way. Its her first time too and her likings and tastes will mould into what you give. Whenever she will think of sex, it will be you and your style. She will enjoy your slightest of touches Just try to focus a bit on her body languages and take things as slow as possible. Never, ever have too much expectations from your first time. Dont concentrate on the act itself. Concentrate on her as a person. Why do men give a rose to a woman? what pleasure do you derive? the pleasure is not in the act but in her reaction she gives. It is kind of like riding a bi-cycle. You will have your own rhtym and speed. But you have to learn to balance. You cant enjoy the bi-cycle ride on the first attempt. You will be too terrified. It takes a few attempts. But once you learn, you can just jump on and pedal away. With an occasional dose of oil and tightening of the screws. and you never ever forget
