ali0786 Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 He was great to watch. One thing's for sure...even if he goes out of form or anything, he will continue to stay in the team or keep making comebacks..cuz of his big brother Kamran! so that's one good thing. That's how things work in Pakistani team. Just look at how Imran Farhat got in because his father in law is one of the selectors.

Ram Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 This man has impressed on almost every oppurtunity he has had. Looks like Pakistan have found a gem here.
ViruRulez Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 did not watch the match but scoring century on debut is a good achievement.. but cannot be judged on just one match especially as I have not watched his shot selections and technique etc. .. I would wait some matches at least before judging his talent
davidcooper Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Its always very very special and that too in heroic fashion, I watched a bit of it before and guy plays well Due to our heavily guarded batting line up, it will be a while till we see fresh blood for batting in our test team he's good by pakistani standards, he's average by indian standards, wouldn't get into the playing XI in india's test, ODI or T20 sides
Celeste Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 he's good by pakistani standards' date=' he's average by indian standards, wouldn't get into the playing XI in india's test, ODI or T20 sides[/quote'] Bias written all over the post.

He has talent but the main thing is translating it into consistent success
nospam Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 Seriously, Awesome Talent this young chap. Great debut!
Shane Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 Fantastic Again from Akmal! Too bad it was in a loosing cause! I hope they dont bame him for the defeat!
The Dark Horse Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 Why dont u add bharath's name to the OP
Karan114 Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 Brilliant performance from him...as much as I hate the poyzz and was hoping they lose, I can't deny this guy is quite something. 129 and 75 on debut away from home under pressure both times....:hatsoff:

That 75 was a very good knock under pressure. From the look of the things, seems he will play under pressure for the rest of his career.

Chaos Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 :cantstop: he still deserves a praise for his talent :two_thumbs_up: what goes around comes around... they were saying he aint no tendu who always choke. lol
DomainK Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 :cantstop: he still deserves a praise for his talent :two_thumbs_up: Oh yes, he sure does. Exciting talent. One reason for me to watch Pakistan's next match.
King Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 Imagine if he had scored another hundred and won the game for Pakistan? He's only 19 years too. Has a good shoulder on the head. It's lot easier to score a 100 in a ODI but in a test match to score as many as he has is something special. Sadly for Pakistan if they are relying on this lad to get them through then there must certainly be something wrong with their setup. He's there to enhance his experience while the seniors are to pull their weight but Pakistan should definitely be worried if they are relying on new comers to get them test wins.
