cowboysfan Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 maybe somebody can enlighten me but are these states going to fight over river water now as karnataka and TN has been doing for decades?.
flamy Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 the marathis in belgaum and hubli want to join maharastra .I dont think they really want a statehood. Ya, when I was there, I tried to speak in Kannada, and they replied in Hindi or sometimes Marathi :dontknow: Well... atleast VTU is gonna get fecked, which I really love :D
flamy Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 yea knew that wouldn't fly. :--D u can have nikred though.
gloryof83 Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Why can't they hold a referendum in Telengana region to see of the people there want a separate state? It is mind boggling that Sonia can take a 'spur of the moment' decision to split a state into 2 without considering common consensus and mandate. Just because some dickhead was forced to fast for 11 days... they decide to give him what he wants
graphic23 Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 ++ on gloryof83. Why cannot the people actually choose? Last I remember, TRS got buttraped in the elections, with the margin of win being around 7000-8000, as opposed to a few years ago, when the margin was over 1 lakh votes? :hmmm:

Just because some dickhead was forced to fast for 11 days... they decide to give him what he wants IIRC this issue has been going on for a long long time. It is not just because of any recent events.
gloryof83 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 IIRC this issue has been going on for a long long time. It is not just because of any recent events. There is NO issue The previous agitation was only for a couple of years 69-71... after that there was no agitation. Then KCR thinks... "I want to be CM and make money" so he raises a dormant issue, creates a political party with only one agenda. In 2004 polls he attracted some support for the cause and won some seats. In 2009 polls people saw through him = ass whooping
nballa Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 maybe somebody can enlighten me but are these states going to fight over river water now as karnataka and TN has been doing for decades?. no, telangana is in no position to control river water, because andhra controls the major ports. has to be a cooperative relationship.
gloryof83 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I am over the moon that 90 odd MLAs and MPs have resigned over this, although they are corrupt they at least have an ounce of patriotism
graphic23 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I am over the moon that 90 odd MLAs and MPs have resigned over this' date=' although they are corrupt they at least have an ounce of patriotism[/quote'] Yeah. Maybe something good will come out of this. And a note, ignore yoda, his natural state is trolling and spouting misinformed idiotic posts. So, no need to explain all the details.
graphic23 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Thats hilarious. 14 out of 19 MLAs for PRP resign. :hehe:
Temujin Khaghan Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 There is a good chance that Tirupati might become capital of Telengana. With the status of Hyderabad uncertain and if the Hyderabadis get a choice to vote what they want they will probably vote for UT which will mean Telengana is left with Tirupati as its largest city. tirupathi is in rayalaseema the best bet for a capital city for andhra is vijayawada. or as a lot of andhra people have invested in hyd, they will make it the ut.
Temujin Khaghan Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Thats hilarious. 14 out of 19 MLAs for PRP resign. :hehe: as if anyone would care. they won a single vote in the latest gmhc elections :haha:
ViruRulez Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Just watched the news. Now Mayawati wants UP to be divided too possibly one in her own name too. :dontknow: Rest the demands of seperate states are rising day by day. Eveybody is now joining the bandwagon. :giggle:
King Tendulkar Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Good the more small states we have the better. As they are run more efficiently if smaller and reduce the power of CM's. As some of the CMs in those massive states are way to powerful.
kabira Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Mayawati is right that UP is unmangeable. Needs to be divided into atleast two more states
Guest Hiten. Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 So it seems like our incompetent government has found a new solution to "unmanageable" problems. Divide it into many parts, so our chewtiya janta chooses more fools as their ministers who will later demand more parts for their state due to their incompetency in being an inspirational leader. I wonder how would have our govt flared had India been a size of Canada or its provinces. Dividing the states is NOT a solution, it will only create more headaches.

If India does ever part away with Kashmir, India will see the same ripple effect across the country. So, it is better to just make the LOC as an international border. Nothing is going to come out of it unless there's a full on war.
