How can it be the 1st? It must have been at some point in ODI's. The 1st team to successfully chase would be the 1st ever to have the highest chase.

First ever successful 300 plus chase was done by SL against Zimbabwe in 1992 world cup. Second one was done by India 7 years later against Pakistan at Dhaka.

I fremember the Dhaka one so well. Yes, that was a record making one at that time.

Dhaka game is still fresh in my memory.. the fielding team was asking for bad light while thebatting team wanted to go on.. Kanitkar became a poster boy after that game for a while..
