Which team will emerge as the top team in 5 years as the old guard retires?' India-of all the teams india will probably have the most difficult time replacing some of its greatest players like sachin, dravid, laxman, veeru and Zak.the fact that Yuvraj is in the team speaks volumes. Also our spin bowling cupboard is not good as we think. Australia-its diffcult to replace one of the greatest batsmen ever but Australia have great depth and they alwyas seem to find good fast bowlers who they plug in and go.Lee and clark will not be missed. south africa-Its hard to overstate how important kaliis was to the saffers.his production will be irreplaceable. Pakistan-younis khan and Yousuf will be gone and pakistan will miss two of its stalwart players.Umar akmal looks good to fill their middle order void. England-they have some young players who are showing promise.they are also good for adding more saffers when needed. Sri lanka-they will be devastasted by Murali's loss.cant see them winning a lot of test matches abroad without him. West indies-hard to see thrm making progress with the turmoil they go through. New zealand-Vettori wil probably still play but they will remain at the bottom. 5 years from now the aussies and England might be battling it out for the top spot.

With the latest ruling on Kolpak players, there wont be no more freebies for England. But still I reckon they will be among the top three test teams in the world. If we groom our UVs, Vijays, Badris, and Rohit Sharmas properly we should be there among the top as well. Our main concern is our bowling. The fab-four are so good that our bowling doesn look as bad as it really is. Once our batsmen fail to make mammoth totals then we would know the quality of bowlers. The bottom line is we need depth in our bowling, with the current reserves we can't expect to dominate the cricketing world like the Aussies of the past decade.
