The current so-called bowling attack is plumbing new depths. Cannot even defend 400+ and bowl like complete retards - seriously where are the brains and intelligence? So lets name and shame them: Nehra Kumar Khan Jadeja Singh Raina + Sharma on the bench. Is this the worst bowling attack ever in limited over history. Discuss?

Blame our fielding too mate..would have been a lot more decent if we hold on to the chances that came our way

In all fairness to the Aussies, that was their make shift attack. On the contrary, this is our prime attack which got spanked to all corners of the boundary. But I wouldn't be blaming the bowlers for such a horrific performance. The batsmen who failed to capitalise in the last 15 ov and those who dropped the catches are the ones who should be blamed and the PITCH.

Time to bump! Add Sreesanth to the list - don't think I've seen a bowler give so many "hit me" balls as he does on a regular basis. Tyagi and Mithun get a reprieve as just starting out but have to do much better than the display yesterday.

Indian cricket is in real trouble if the likes of Tyagi and Mithun can make it in the national side. Those guys will not even make it in the Zimbabwe side

our bowlers have completely lost their length the basics are completely wrong they should attack the off and middle stumps more often, keep it in the good length, not give any room bring in simple variations, like change of pace, not try anything extra-ordinary and most importantly, bowl those yorkers, the blockhole deliveries this will save atleast 40 runs

I don't think we should worry/care about what other attacks do...that does not justify anything. If batsmen are asked to prove themselves on bowling friendly pitches then bowlers should also be asked to be proved on batsmen friendly pitches. If they can mange to skittle out the opposition for around 270-280 then the bowlers will have done a good job. I am really worried about our bowling attack for the next world cup if we have to make do with part timers like YKP. He is not a thinking bowler...very predictable and will be smashed around once they get a hang of him. Same goes for Raina and RS. Less said about our pace bowlers the better.

England came to India in their last ODI tour with a full strength bowling line up that included Broad, Flintoff, Harmison, Anderson, Swann and they all got clobbered for runs. Now it's South Africa who's bowling attack was ripped apart on these flat pitches. So why do you expect the Indian fast bowlers to be any different? The only guy who can do well is Zaheer because he can vary his pace and length very effectively yet still keep the same line.

The OP was about the worst bowling attack in ODI history and I answered the question. It is one thing to try and look for options and tactics with our bowling and another to slit wrists.
