mastermind_quad
Umar Akmal is a good batsman no doubt.... but there is no point analyzing his career in his early days ....but yes what make him a much better batsman coz he play for Pak..according to Pakistani current batting standard he is far far better .......:):) Link to comment
King Tendulkar
U Akmal looks very good. How he will go over all is diffucult to say. But no doubt he is rare talent from pakistan. But at the moment he is batting without a care in the world. Lets see how he does when expectation is upon him to deliver time and again Has just scored pak fastest T20 50. Electric talent. Pur box office. A rich mans Raina Link to comment
DomainK
Great innings from the youngman. He is going to Pakistan's only hope in the tests. Link to comment
ZodiaC
The guy adapts to all the formats very well. Obviously gonna end up as one of the finest Pakistani batsmen if he continues to bat like this. Link to comment

Pak_Fan_4_Eva
Green Lips does it once again.:two_thumbs_up: His style of play resembles Miandad`s very much. Easily the brightest young talent from the Sub Continent right now. :yay: May he perform better for us in the future Insh`Allah. Link to comment

Pak_Fan_4_Eva
Mash`Allah he`s so consistent. It`s actually quite un-Pakistani of him:--D Link to comment
Andy
Saw some comments made by fellow Indians on other threads . Few reckon him beter than Raina. I followed his performances in Asia Cup. Raina outbatted him particularly in the big matches. Its true this guy has more shots than Raina. Still on ODI performances i would rate Raina higher than Umar. But as a Test player Umar is beter than Raina as long as Raina doesnt prove himself on Test level. Link to comment
Sachinism
^^ Raina needs to be given an opportunity to prove himself Anyways fantastic innings, really enjoyable Link to comment
Ram
He looks a class apart from the rest of the Pakistani batsmen. As an Indian loyalist, I'd be very worried about this dude when we play him next, especially in a test match. Link to comment
Guest OriginalPrince
this kid has more talent than anybody else ive seen from the sub continent. if he doesnt go the usual pak way and become a cheat he could be great. this is how i would rank the u22 potential talents in the world 1. hughes 2. smith 3. hazelwood 4. akmal 5. left arm seamer from SA. i can't remember his name right now. the rest are average to rubbish. Bublu Bhuyan
This kid is a gem of a find for Pakistan. If not for him, Pak would have been battered, humiliated and beaten even worse in the last year or so. A real diamond in the rough. I wish he were from India instead. Link to comment
EnterTheVoid
LOL. The guy will turn into another Af retard. The same was said for ball biter when he first came. Link to comment
Bublu Bhuyan
LOL. The guy will turn into another Af retard. The same was said for ball biter when he first came. Afridi came into the team as a bowler. He was never a batsman in the first place. Kind of like Harbhajan who could just swing the bat and make useful contributions periodically. Comparing U. Akmal (the batsman) with Afridi (the batsman) is an insult to the young man. Even you and I could probably bat better than Afridi. Link to comment
