thats not really the point.In a tournament (especially in a knock out game) even a average day for our batsmen can be disastrous for our chances.Our bowlers simply dont hold up their end of the bargain.

In a way our batsmen are responsible for this :hysterical: . Teams know they can't do anything against our batsmen. So they target the bowlers. They take their chances against them. If Indian batsmen consistently scores less our bowlers would have got more respect :hysterical: Lame logic. But some truth to it. Main problem is whenever Indian batsmen put up huge scores our first task tends to be economical rather than wicket taking. They hope being economical would get you wickets. They ended up being neither. They have to go for the wickets just like you would do when you defend low totals.

isnt that true for every single team, with shorter boundaries, powerplay, bowling restrictions on flat tracks which we are likely to see in sub-continent; no team has a pair of bowlers who can bowl 10 overs at eco of 5 and get 1-2 wickets every single game. At the end of the day next WC will be a batting shootout

The team needs to win this, not for India, not for the team, but the warriors who shouldered the team when were a team of one maybe two heros and 10 passengers. Win the next cup for Tendulkar, Ganguly, Dravid and Kumble. They are our proverbial 'freedom fighters', the founding fathers, the progenitors of the current generation of cricketers. We have a decent outfit, have the massive massive massive advantage of playing at home before home crowds who i swear are going to cry hoarse in support even when we play one of the minnows.

At the end of the day next WC will be a batting shootout[/quote'] the difference is they know how to bowl good line and length and they know to keep it full in the death overs.our bowlers have not heard the word "yorker".I think its imperative we hire a new bowling coach who is savvy enough to teach our bowlers something about limited overs bowling.I think it may well be a batting shootout but our best chances may be to prepare tracks with some help for the spinners(which not happen after the kotla fiasco)

india didnt batted well in the first ODI, it's not becaue parveen kumar and harbajhan made some runs that you batsmen peformed well... india didn't batted well in the 4th ODI, they didn't haed down 250 on a good batting pithc, they failed 24 runs short, and again the tail made ssome runs... and the same at guathi, your team made 170... that maked three bad batting performances out of 6....

Our bowlers are capable of bowling well at home. Lets just hope that ZAK, Sree and RP are available and in form for 2011 WC. If we can take care of bowling, we will win the WC without much difficulty.
