I wish every youngster to succeed. I even rooted for Joginder Sharma before he was discovered as a pretender. :winky: He used to sizzle in domestic tournament for a brief period.

Somehow watching this guy bat it makes me think that Virat is a much more accomplished batsman than Pandey. He looks a bit airy-fairy to me, nevertheless 194 is no mean achievement and i really feel happy for this youngster. Hope he continues on this success!

It was a T20 game and hence the loose shots, actually contrary to many, I think the T20 format doesnt come naturally to CL Pandey, some of the shots he played during that innings were real fluky, but trust me I have watched him play in the WC alongside Kohli and RJ, he looks a really solid bat, I think he came in at no.6 in the batting order.

Yes, Opened the batting with Shrevats Goswami, the pocket size keeper, IIRC Tanmay Shrivastav plays for Kings XI Punjab in the IPL, He plays for UP in the Ranjis, Hope he gets recognition this season.

If we form an under-25 team it will be like this Kohli 20 Rohit 22 Raina 23 Pandey 20 Ishant 21 Jadeja 20 Karthik 24 Sangwan 20 Chawla 23 Rahane 21 Pujara 21 Tiwary 23 Vijay 24

When I go on cricinfo etc. and see Jadeja's domestic records etc. I just fail to understand that what has happened to him. His records suggest that he was quite consistent with the bat too at the domestic level. Then why is it that he does not have the confidence to even bat at the international level. He seems like a no.11 batsman when batting but going by his domestic records he should be a good batsman I suppose. Anyways I dont know much but it looks like the reason of change in Jadeja's batting ability will always remain a mystery. :dontknow:

I think Jadeja is going to be like one of those player who will make overnight transformation. Just give him a couple of years. Just my gut feeling. Age is on his side. . I don't think he has any idea what to do with Indian side. He focusses mainly on surviving. It is too soon to rule him completely out.

Badri is older than Dhoni i think. :winky: yes Shikar Dhawan 23. India has array of talented players. They can have a match between under-25 and the rest of India.

I am not ruling him completely out and I have been one of his biggest supporter since IPL time. But his zero confidence with the bat in recent matches has really disappointed me. Though a player can be given time but he should at least show us a few runs with the bat. Whenever he came to bat for the Indian team in recent times, he looked like a no.11 batsman or even worse. In the last match, when he hit a four I thought that he might have opened up but then again he went back to his shell. He got two great opportunities in this series itself where he could have become an overnight hero but he messed up both the times and instead looked nothing better than a no.11 batsman. Even Nehra or Ishant were looking more confident than him. I dont know but his batting is simply a mystery in recent times. At least he should show some signs of handling the bat if he has to sustain. Kohli might have missed many chances too but he has shown signs of his ability but Jadeja has not shown any signs of even half a decent batsman.

Jadeja is more than a decent bat. His square cut in the 4th odi against Bollinger is an example for that. This guy can definitely bat and bat well, its jus that he lacks confidence right now or seems to get overwhelmed by the situation when he goes into bat. Shane warne rates him very high as a batsman and when someone of Warnes calibre does that you dont question much. As i said the talent is there for all of us to see, but he needs a good knock under pressure maybe even a 30 or 40 where he takes the team through a tough situation to start believing in himself. More than anything the team management and Dhoni believes in him so its just a matter of time before he comes good. Heres hoping that he plays a match winning knock pretty soon in this series itself! :two_thumbs_up:

That was a horrible innings, why would you want to watch that? Try and find the innings he played after that (70 odd I think) much much better
