VVS Re-Laxman..

Does he justifies his place in a top ranked team like India? Quite frequently he fails during the 'need of the hour'..You can't bank on him now to consolidate the middle order. I think India should start replacing these old hags starting from VVS Re-Laxman..India needs to have a backup set of batsmen once the seniors retire.. Also, UV is not a test match player. He might be able to maintain his 'average' by making occasional high scores but you can't expect consistency from him..

Look at VVS..He is lethargic..No offense to him He has been a good servant of Indian cricket but time has now come to slowly look for other options. For this series, there was no need for players like VVS to be in the team. Players like Badrinath should've been give chance.. UV is useless. Being an arrogant rockstar, I don't think he is a right prospect for test cricket..

MM, you can make as much fun of me, as you like..I still believe these players should'nt have played against Bangladesh. They can play against top teams but for matches against Bangladesh, we should've given chance to players like Badrinath and Tiwari..

Lol, yea.. Of all players in the Indian, the opening poster picked on VVS and says he fails when it matters... If there is one guy in this Indian team who has stood up and made himself count when the going has got tough for the Indian team over the last 4-5 years, its VVS.

As I said' date=' please carry on making fun of me..May be I don't have as much cricketing knowledge as you guys..[/quote'] Everyone has their own opinions and they all might be different..we're all passionate about India and Cricket mate... :icflove: But speaking of VVS as "not deserving a place" and all can hurt us.. I still say: VVS rocks!

First you say he shouldnt be in the team because he isnt good enough, now you say he shouldnt be in team coz for b'deshi matches, they should given a chance to others to others. Btw, you do realize that VVS plays only test matches for India dont you? If he rests himself from tests too, what matches is he even supposed to play? Bottom line, either you havent been watching too much cricket over the last few years, or your memory is failing you. VVS has been the standout batsmen for India in tests for quite a while now. Sure, we have had the return of Sehwag in 2007, the rise of Gambhir, but VVS has been the bedrock of the middle order around which much of our test success in the last few years has been built around.

Now you're saying this?! How many test matches are we playing every year? Trust me its not a lot! And hence, for that very reason, its difficult to experiment much in tests..And the very fact that VVS plays only tests adds to it

Okay..I stand corrected on VVS. Yes, my memory failed me..Hope he does well in rest of the series and many more matches to come.. What about UV then? Do you guys feel he justifies his selection in the team? I'm anticipating an attack from North.. lol He disappoints me because he is such a talented playe but it seems he has wrong attitude..
