I don't like to see batsmen taking 100 odd balls to get to a 50 and the commentator shooting - "What a great innings it has been by him. He's batted fast and confidently". :((

If both Yuvraj and Dravid are out; I would pick Murali Vijay (No 3) and Manish Panday (No 6). For his performance in the Ranji Trophy, Manish Panday must play!

hmm it will be a big blow if Rahul is not playing in this series, yuvi can quite easily be replaced by vijay in tests as he is not a vital cog in our batting lineup but Dravid well it will be quite a test to this Indian batting lineup against Steyn and Co if the solidity of Dravid is missing

Why does he have to get injured when he's coming back into his own? :(( Vijay is automatic replacement for Yuvi, but who will they replace Dravid with? Who were our reserve batsmen (apart from Vijay) for the Lanka series and the previous home series against England?

And that loosely translates into - 'Right now, we dont even know how serious the injury is and therefore, how long it might take for him to recover'. Do you think someone suffering from an injury whose full extent itself is unknown as of yet will play a test match in 2 weeks?

You keep saying 'its only a minor crack..' and that is where I am saying - 'They dont even know the full extent of the injury yet'.. So, it maybe after all just a minor crack, but it could potentially be something more serious.

its a jawline crack and no surgery is needed.I am basing this on this fact.
