o what? I thought they were playing in SA and I was very much looking forward to this series. All the talk about pace and bounce here got me into believing that India will tour SA.Why doesn't India play outside anymore??? Sorry to say' date=' but now its going to be another boring run-fest series.[/quote'] Dude, that was rude (although you did mention "sorry to say"). We like runfests. Atleast I do. I don't like to see batsmen taking 100 odd balls to get to a 50 and the commentator shooting - "What a great innings it has been by him. He's batted fast and confidently". :((

hmm it will be a big blow if Rahul is not playing in this series, yuvi can quite easily be replaced by vijay in tests as he is not a vital cog in our batting lineup but Dravid well it will be quite a test to this Indian batting lineup against Steyn and Co if the solidity of Dravid is missing

Oh dear.. Yuvi isnt so big a loss, but Dravid......... ...... .. . Why does he have to get injured when he's coming back into his own? :(( Vijay is automatic replacement for Yuvi, but who will they replace Dravid with? Who were our reserve batsmen (apart from Vijay) for the Lanka series and the previous home series against England?

I refuse to believe that Dravid is going to miss out of the tests because of minor hairline cracks.
Kirsten said this in the press-conference;
"He has got quite a nasty injury to his face," Kirsten said. "He is currently staying in Bangladesh. Later, he will consult a specialist to find out what needs to be done and how long he would be out. For Rahul, we don't have the long-term prognosis.
And that loosely translates into - 'Right now, we dont even know how serious the injury is and therefore, how long it might take for him to recover'. Do you think someone suffering from an injury whose full extent itself is unknown as of yet will play a test match in 2 weeks?

If its a minor crack i think he will play.He will not miss out on these tests knowing how important they are to india.
You keep saying 'its only a minor crack..' and that is where I am saying - 'They dont even know the full extent of the injury yet'.. So, it maybe after all just a minor crack, but it could potentially be something more serious.
