hari504504
Badri betta make atleast a century... Yuvi can then do what he was born to do - focus on ODIs and Twent20s... Link to comment
vvvslaxman
In Badri's early years watching him play would be like watching paint drying. Gradualy he added strokes to his repoertoire. Hope Badri follows the foot steps of Vijay who had a decent start to his career. Link to comment
diegovegaz
regardless of how he performs in the first test, his reputation won't fall one bit in my eyes Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Even Vijay was also a boring batsman. Usually he would score a 50 in 200 balls. He has transformed dramatically over the last 18 months or so. Link to comment
cricketman
He has played so many critical, and quick innings for CSK. He's an integral part of the middle order and has the shots for a quick knock as well. Come on, guys. We don't need flashy players in test cricket anyways. Link to comment

But players who can look completely at ease. I am sure he should not have problems with pitches easing out all over. I am always skeptical about domestic giants as we have had bad experience. Lamba, WV Raman, Jaffer to name a few. W.V.Raman must be cursing himself that he was born in the wrong era. He had to face Donald at kingsmead the then fastest pitch in the world along with Perth. I think he made a century in South Africa in a one dayer. He was the first batsman i have seen walking for a leg before decision :hysterical: without umpire raising the finger. Link to comment

Personally, I feel he just doesn't belong at the International level. It was quite evident from the way he played Siddle. Link to comment

It was quite evident from the way he played Siddle. People were saying that he couldn't play a quick knock, he has proven them wrong in the IPL. If you want more 'criteria', just take a look at his record. :winky: Btw, if you want Raina in the team no way is he test materia. Haha, I can't even imagine him trying to face the short stuff vs Steyn and co. :cantstop: Link to comment
cricketman
And way to write someone who has proven himself in the domestic level completely off. He deserves this chance let him have it. Link to comment

achilles
^ Coz Raina is like a drunkard getting punked by the bouncer :cantstop:. And Karthik is light years ahead of Raina in Test Cricket. He has a great record and doesn't get out to short balls and cry in the media, "I can play the short ball. Please don't write me off, good sir!" :(( Link to comment

D.Kartik average is 27.7 Link to comment
achilles
Are you Suresh Raina? No? Then **** off :two_thumbs_up: Don't try to act like a union leader. Your not the only one who has the right to opinion. And KID (yeah, I'm older than you, you piece of crap), try to respect people ! Link to comment
Cricketics
I really really hope that he crack some runs in this rare opportunity which he is getting. I am sure if he doesn't do well, he won't get much chance after this because of his age. He is not like Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma who are 21, 22. He is 29. Enjoy the moment.. Link to comment
achilles
He is going to make India proud. There is no doubt in my mind about that :two_thumbs_up: Link to comment
Zap_Brannigan
Dhoni's fav nohit Sharma has been included in the squad. So unless Laxman skips the game, I am sure nohit will be chosen ahead of Badri... Link to comment
achilles
Oh c'mon. Nohit has No-hit for the bouncers. :(( Badri has better technique and more experience than Nohit :two_thumbs_up: Link to comment

Rohit will get tons of chances to prove himself and can play with less pressure than Badri would have to. Link to comment

He's done the same in South Africa as well. He is the most versatile player we have. So, 'go suck a lollypop'. :haha: Link to comment
cricketman
Nohit is cover for Laxman only. Badri is sure to play. Link to comment
