You get a idea from the way g7 is run in the name of multiplex .The guy has divided one whole cinema hall into seven screens. With this sharad pawar days are almost numbered . His comments on Pakistani players in IPL was not entirely different to that of many others. I can see why many Indians wont be happy with that but atleast we can all be civil, no? Sharad Pawar has lost his marbles. Actually he lost his marbles long time back. Cant beleive this man was such a stalwart at National level one time. He probably did more damage to Maharastra than SS. Of course thanks to him Dawood is still in Pakistan (Jethmalani will attest to Dawood's conditional surrender recommendation). Bombay has been my favorite Indian city, despite the fact that I never actually lived there. To see this kind of hooliganism happening is just sad to see. Unfortunately, there is no easy fix to this either. Even though the public in general does not like them, they find these ways to supersede democracy and the ruling party does nothing. This was the perfect opportunity for someone from the government to take Shiv Sena by the scruff of the neck by saying bring it on - we'll provide the security. The only long term solution here is throw the top brass of Shiv Sena in jail on non bailable charges.

Basically there is no strong leadership .There is no decent opposition in the state apart from bjp which is depleted in its resources.Congress doesnt have a decent leader in its party most of them are corrupt .Ncp its ally does have decent leaders in jayant patil and r.r. patil ,but they have been sidelined.Mns has Raj Thackeray who is the only strong leader to have come out from maharashtra in recent times which says a lot about other parties.

It isn't a question of whether SRK's movies are rubbish or not, for me. It is more of sheer bullying of someone for holding an opinion that these thugs don't like.

Multiplexes, majority of theatres agree to screen "My Name Is Khan" in Mumbai 20th Century Fox, the distributors of SRK starrer "My Name Is Khan", have announced that the film will release nationally according to schedule. The 5 multiplexes, which had earlier declined to screen the film have now agreed to screen it. Cinemax, Inox, PVR, Fame & Big Cinema, with almost all single-screen threatres, have in unison, decided to screen the film. I feel proud to be a Mumbaiite and I AM GOING TO WATCH "MY NAME IS KHAN" TOMORROW. This is my way of showing solidarity to the democracy called India :isalute:

^^ He hasn't apologized and Shiv Sena still hasn't cooled off their threat to disrupt screening of the film. SRK did soften his stand a bit today but has refused and completely ruled about apologies :)

Isnt it obvious to everyone that all this is just an elaborate marketing/publity gimmick? Anyone who thinks SRK 'accidentally' spoke out against Sena's 'Mumbai for Mahararshtrians only' policy just weeks before the launch of his movie doesnt know the way Indian politics/entertainment business well enough. I am sick and tired with these movie stars and politicians creating controversies out of thin air and the mainstream media duly giving prime-time coverage to it.
