But we are blessed to have 2 players who have average well over 50 while opening something not many teams can boast of.

Not a comparison. Just a listing. If you go by runwise you will see a different list. But we are blessed to have 2 players who have average well over 50 while opening something not many teams can boast of.

Even if its just a listing, it does not take us anywhere. There are probably half a dozen other names who deserve a mention in any discussion related to openers (Gavaskar, Boycott, Smith, Langer etc), who dont find their names there.

Smith, Hayden etc. This is merely to illustrate what a great opening pair we have at the moment.

Sunny is the best opening batsman period. No indian opener faced the quality bowlers like he did and that too without a helmet and against ball tampering.
