flamy
Who is he and where did he come from? Name sounds Dutch, so I'll assume he is South African. What's up with Ingerland and mass outsourcing? http://www.cricinfo.com/bdeshveng2010/content/current/story/449659.html Link to comment
Sachinism
Yup another saffer he's a keeper and good attacking bat So how many English spots are left to fill up in the English side?? But can't complain, we're a multicultural country, so its bound to happen Link to comment

Oh how Matt prior must be cursing him and get this he became eligible to play for England only on last Tuesday. Link to comment

Gunner_Mania
How does one become eligible to play for England or any other country? you stay there long enough to get that country's passport?? This is how South Africans play for England. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kolpak_ruling Link to comment
Ram
He is no Kolpak player. He came through the same route took by KP - English Mum, Afrikaner Dad. Has had two passports all his life, lived in South Africa for 10 months a year, vacationed in England for the remaining two. Moved to England 4 years ago when he was 18 because he wanted his future to be in England and qualified to play for the national side this Feb. Something tells me he is going to make a big impression in the international stage. Link to comment
Gunner_Mania
^ I didn't mean him. I just gave an example of the Kolpak ruling of how SA players can play in UK Link to comment

Texan
How does one become eligible to play for England? If you are a batsman or a wicket-keeper, then you must be born in South Africa. Link to comment

Ram
At this rate, Afrikaan might soon become the most widely spoken language within the English dressing room. Its ridiculous how many of the England players are actually of foreign origin. But in some ways, its a glowing tribute to the inclusive nature of the British immigration policies and their society in general. Its certainly something most Englishmen can be proud of.
